The heroine is an ex-Navy officer who is now working for a multi-millionaire as his head of security and his private bodyguard because someone is trying to kill him.
The first scene I remember is him coming to pick her up at her house for a business trip to find a shirtless man opening the door. The shirtless guy is her brother, but he's really jealous.
They end up at his ranch for a business meeting and end up getting intimate. I remember her distinctly having a turquoise bra and panty set he's enamored with. She leaves him flabbergasted when she takes off after they've spent the night together when he's the one who usually asks the girl to leave.
She ends up pregnant, but he doesn't know until she gets shot taking a bullet for him. Her father, a high ranking Naval Officer comes to the hospital and causes a scene, but the Hero of the story defends her, says he's marrying her, and they live HEA
