Zorion's blush deepened even further and he plopped into a chair, curling in on himself in embarrassment. His eyes widened when Eva mentioned sex and he coughed uncomfortably. He wrapped his arms around his knees and the sleeves of his jean jackets rode up, exposing the fresh cuts on his arm. He quickly pulled them down, hoping that nobody had noticed, although Dakota had said before that he knew. He just hoped maybe everyone would forget, including himself, even.
((Hey, I have to go! Stay safe, I love you!))
Eva gently patted Dakota's ribs, and he winced slightly. Her brows, furrowed, and she stopped. Turning to Zorion and Leo, she said, "So, he'll need to be assisted in order to go to the bathroom, get something from a desk or any other activity that requires him to get up out of bed. I trust you'll help?" Her voice was more stern than normal, but she still sounded kind.
Dakota blushed deeply at the idea of them being there to help him do simple tasks. "No- No, that's okay, I can do it, I don't need to bother-" Eva turned to him with gleaming eyes that meant business. She stood straight, crossing her arms, with an eyebrow raised.
"So you can do all that on you're own? By yourself? Without any pain?" she asked, sounding like a mother. Kota started to speak, but she cut him off. "No, I don't think so. I'm your doctor, and you're the patient. I expect you all to listen to me, as I think I know much better than you three do. Got it?" The boy nodded, a bit intimidated. She turned to Leo and Zor, expecting an answer.

((Gtg, I'll prob be back later tho! My friend's got a theatre performance tonight tho))
Zorion quickly nodded as well. "Of course. Of course, we'll help." He nodded again in agreement with everything Eva said, a little afraid to disagree with her even if he wanted to. "Yes, ma'am," he said at the same time as Leo. He then stood up again and walked over to Dakota. "You wanna stay at my house, Kota? You don't have anywhere to stay, do you?" He glanced back at Leo. "That goes for you, too. If you wanna stay with both of us, you can."

Dakota blinked up at Zor. "That would be nice.." he murmured. "But- but I don't want to be a bother!" he said hurriedly. Eva nodded, satisfied, and then started toward the door. She paused, and then walked back over to them.
She crouched down so she could look Dakota in the eye. Her green-brown eyes were glassy with tears. "I lost my daughter because her boyfriend beat her to death after they broke up..." She looked at Leo and Zor. "Don't let that happen to him." Standing up, she smiled. "Have a wonderful day. Stay safe. You're free to leave the hospital tomorrow." And with that, she walked out.

((Back, off and on tho))
Zorion shook his head. "Of course, you can, Kota. And Leo, seriously, feel free to stay at my– our place if you ever want to," he said, testing the words out. He liked the sound of them. He was about to say something else when Eva returned to Dakota's bedside.
When Eva told them what had happened with her daughter, Zorion's eyes widened. The fact that this could've happened to Dakota seemed that much more real now. "I'm so sorry," he said, in a way that was both his condolences to Eva and his apology for not protecting Dakota more. When Eva left, Zorion bent down, his face close-ish to Dakota's. "I'm never gonna let anythin' bad like that happen to you again, you hear me? I swear on my life I won't. Even if that doesn't mean too much."

Dakota had been stunned, not realizing. Eli would never have killed him...right? The thought sent a chill down his spine. He looked at Zor, his eyes wide. He nodded at his words, trusting them to protect him. Even if he knew they shouldn't.
((I have to go! Stay safe, love you!))
((Lyyy!!!))
Zorion swallowed, these same thoughts running through his own head. "Everythin's gonna be alright now, I promise. You've got me and Leo now, and Eli won't ever touch you again, got that? He will never touch you again." His voice was protective but also tinged with hatred for Eli as he said this. For a while now, he'd had this thought that wouldn't go away. The thought that he'd teach Eli a lesson. It always nagged at the back of his brain and he was considering following through with it now more than ever.

((I made this using a website but it's not very good bc I've only used it once or twice before (view spoiler) ))
Dakota winced at the sound of hatred in Zor's voice. He knew the sound all too well. His voice got like that every time he talked about Eli. "He wasn't that bad.." he whispered, more to himself than anyone else. It was his own fault. If he wasn't such an idiot, maybe he wouldn't be hurt. Plus, it was his own karma.
Dakota shook his head desperately. "No! No, I did!" Fresh tears pricked his eyes. He felt tired and worn out from crying, but he couldn't stop. His eyes ached from rubbing them and he didn't feel lie laying down, yet he did. "And Eli could be better. I know he could. He needs somebody...Please don't hurt him..." The last part was whispered. He looked at Zor.
"Please, Zorion...He didn't do anything wrong.." His voice was soft, but not scared. Unlike with Eli, he wasn't scared to tell his partners when they were wrong. He knew he deserved what Eli gave. Plus, it wasn't like it wasn't normal for him. His dad had done the same thing. Especially to him. He was the reason Mom had died.

((You haven't responded to me yet-))
Zorion shook his head. "No, Kota, you didn't deserve any of that! And he did do stuff wrong! He did everythin' wrong! He hurt you so much!" he said, blinking back tears of his own at the thought of it and just how bad it could've been, combined with the fact that he still absolutely hated seeing Dakota cry even though he'd seen it so much. He stroked Dakota's cheek gently with the back of one hand. "You're amazing, Kota, and Eli doesn't deserve anyone as good as you."
Dakota shook his head, a sob ripping through his throat. "Ple-Please, Zor," he said, his voice breaking. He was trembling slightly, and he felt like he was about to faint from exhaustion. He hadn't eaten or drank anything, and he felt a loss of blood. Without realizing, he leaned into Zor's hand, feeling his soft skin. It was calming, in a way.
He knew they were wrong. He was desperate for them to know that. He didn't want them to lie to themselves like that. If they'd known the things he'd done...the people who were gone because of him. They wouldn't love him. They shouldn't love him.

Zorion bit his lip, guilt tearing through his heart. "...Fine. I'll drop it," he agreed. For now. He noticed Dakota's trembling and continued stroking his cheek. "Hey. You should get some rest, alright? I'll stay right here, but you gotta rest so you can heal, okay?" He gently kissed Dakota on the lips. "I... I love you, Kota."
Dakota felt his eyes flutter shut when Zor kissed him. He opened his eyes again to look at him, but they felt oddly heavy. His vision blurred a bit. "I love you too..." he whispered. Looking at Leo, he felt his fatigue catch up to him. "Love you.." His voice trailed off, and he felt his limbs get heavy. Laying his head on the white pillow, after a moment, he was sleeping peacefully, his tired sighs the only sound from him.
Zorion smiled sadly at Dakota, then carefully pulled his hand away once Dakota was asleep. He looked at Leo, then carefully wrapped his arm around Leo's waist, giving him a look that asked if it was okay for him to do so. He was so used to having to ask permission for every single thing he did because with his dad, he'd had to ask permission for practically everything or he'd get hit, or whipped, or even more severely beaten.
((Who?))
Zorion smiled slightly and his heart swelled with happiness as he felt the weight of Leo leaning into him. He leaned against Leo as well, resting his head on Leo's shoulder. He couldn't really think of how to say anything, either, so all he said was a soft, "I love you as well, Leo."

((Hehe, I try my best XD))
Zorion turned his head and beamed at Leo. His cheeks turned pink, but not with embarrassment this time, now with happiness. He felt Leo's fingers lace through his and his smile widened as he gave Leo's hand a squeeze.

((I'm off and on))
Zorion didn't want to disrupt the moment, but he thought it may be a good idea for them to sit down before they got too comfortable. "You wanna sit down first?" he suggested, gesturing with his free hand to the seats behind them. He then thought he may have sounded bossy, so he quickly tried to make up for it. "Or we could just stay standin'. Whatever you want. Sorry."

Zorion saw that he had made Leo uncomfortable and he tensed up. "Sorry, I... I didn't mean... I'm sorry..." He made to let go of Leo's hand as his father's voice echoed in his head. Great, Zorion. You went and f*cked everything up again, you little piece of sh*t! He winced as though he were about to be slapped.
"No, that's not– I didn't–" Zorion looked like he was on the verge of a breakdown. He couldn't say what he needed to say, and everything he did just made it worse. He stayed frozen in place, afraid to move in case he did something wrong, but he looked like he was panicking inside. Only Dakota and Zor's own parents had seen him like this before.
Zorion tensed up, but told himself he didn't need to; this wasn't his father. He swallowed, trying to pull himself together. "I-I'm sorry," he finally managed, taking shaky deep breaths. "I just don't wanna mess anythin' up, and everythin's triggerin' my memories, and I just can't– Gods, I'm such a f*ck-up!" He fell to the floor and curled up into a ball. Usually, Dakota would be able to comfort him, but since he was injured and asleep, Zorion was all alone. Except Leo. But Leo hadn't dealt with him like this before. What if he hates me for this?! What if he thinks I'm a freak?! His father's voice came again. You are a freak, you goddamn little sh*t! Nobody could ever love you. Zorion whined, trembling.
Slowly, Zorion started calming down. He sensed Leo's presence and leaned into him, and then after a couple more minutes, he looked up, his cheeks stained with tears. "Th-thanks. I'm s-sorry," he stammered, face hot from embarrassment and shame.
"I thought– My dad–" Zorion found himself unable to finish a sentence and he just curled up against Leo. "Thank you," he finally said, not knowing what else to say. He sniffled and wiped his tears, his sleeve riding up again as he did so and exposing the fresh cuts along his arm.
Zorion looked at Leo with wide, deep violet eyes, his expression hard to pinpoint. Then he hugged Leo tightly, his body trembling with silent sobs. He was just overwhelmed with emotion, good and bad, and couldn’t think of a better way to get it out. So, he just held onto Leo and cried.
Dakota shifted, uncomfortable. The doctor smiled kindly at him, and her voice turned soft. She was looking at him as if he was a startled animal, and, though he knew she was trying to be nice, it just made him feel out of place. She started putting on the casts, her hands gentle. "So, you'll have to stay here a bit longer, and you'll have to stay in bed. In order for those ribs to heal, I need you to take good care of yourself and not move around too much, or you'll make it worse."
