I managed another 144 pages of Parker Pyne yesterday, and I've finished it this morning. So I've put it in as one of the "heart on the cover" prompts.

I have a novella by a male author in mind, which could potentially be used for the "male" half of male and female. I'll see how I get on.

Managed to finished The Whisperer in the Darkness for a quick 106pg. I've put it in for Male Author, as that was the last place left for it.

I probably won't finish any book today. We have lots of wild cards to use if we want to.

We are missing Inspiring Title/Cover, 1 Enemies to Lovers, 1 Hearts on Cover, 2 10-year or more span, and 1 Warm & Fuzzy.

Roxana (luminate) | 774 comments I put Westmark in for the last warm and fuzzy prompt, bringing us down to five prompts left without any wildcards.

Kellie Lyn | 211 comments I finished The Truth About Alice by Jennifer Mathieu and put it in the space for hearts on the cover. This has been a interesting, exhausting, and adventurous week both in life and reading. Thanks for helping make it fun.

Great work, everyone! Do we want to fill in the rest of the prompts with wild cards? Does it matter?

message 107: by Roxana (new)

Roxana (luminate) | 774 comments Well, I’m still going to finish another book tonight (probably just one), as it’s only 9:30pm in my time zone 😂 not sure if the wildcards matter after this point anyway, though!

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 3268 comments I have to admit I'm ending off a little frustrated. I only read 152 pages total today, which is not that bad, but I was expecting to have the majority of the day to read.

Unfortunately, I had a project for work that ended up taking double the amount of time it should have because coworkers didn't get me their part in time. It was a memorial edition of our newsletter in memory of a participant in our day program who passed away (not covid), and I had given everyone a month to submit something if they wanted to by this past Friday. It should have been done yesterday, but I got several more pieces today and felt bad excluding them after people had put the time and emotional labour into writing them....so I ended up spending half my day on that. I guess I could have listened to an audiobook yesterday/today while working, but I didn't want anything to distract me from the series I'm reading and it wasn't available as audio!

Thanks, fellow Tulips. It was fun to read with you.

Roxana (luminate) | 774 comments Put my last book, The Kestrel, in for inspiring cover. It's 1:30am in my time zone, so I'm finally off to bed now. Thanks for another fun readathon, y'all! :)

Dori (daisydori) | 169 comments I have finished First-time Parent last night but I really can't put it to any of the remaining prompts. Sorry I haven't read more, I haven't been feeling well but thanks for the opportunity it was great fun! :)
