Let’s write a story!

This is one of my favourite games!
Here someone needs to start a story by saying a sentence or two and the next person continues. That way we’re writing a story together.
(You can write anything but don’t be offensive to anyone and try not to swear)

[Charlotte]

It was a cold day

Mina clutched her cloak tightly, while the cold breeze brushed her cheek.

[Charlotte]

She could feel her heart racing and a thumping in her ears

She was supposed to have reached home ages ago, but here she was sitting in the open.

She felt like someone was watching her, breathing down her neck. She shuddered at the thought.

A rustling sound made her stomach leap, her eyes skimmed the forest for any sign of movement.

There was none. Mina sighed in relief.

[Charlotte]

She continued on her path leaving footsteps in the snow.

Not that leaving footsteps was a wise thing, it was just that she was in too much of a hurry to cover her tracks.

[Rushali]

She needed to focus which was becoming difficult with each passing second, she couldn't form coherent thoughts in her head.

A loud crank rang in the air and Mina turned, frightened.

[Rushali]

Her heart thumped and her breath became shallow, on seeing what was in front of her eyes, the all too familiar face.

Richard.

She gasped.

“What-“ she began, but was slammed onto the ground, pain shooting through her spine.

No. no. no.
This was all wrong.
"Richard-" she opened her mouth to speak, but was shoved down again.

"Be quiet Mina. It's what's best for you." snarled Richard.

Mina tried to talk, but she was shock. This couldn't be

Richard was her brother. Richard was dead .
He’d died years ago in the alley, pale-faced and weary eyed. But his lips spoke only one word then- run. And she had.
She’d run and run till her legs hurt and her knees buckled. And then she ran again. She’d been running all her life.
But Richard clearly wasn’t dead. He was alive.

But Richard didn’t listen. He never did.

"Mina, listen carefully to me. Do what I tell you. Don't ask any questions. Now is not the time. Trust me, you'll find out everything soon enough. Now get up and come with me, NOW!"

Mina's head was spinning. Her legs felt like wobbly, she felt like she would fall any second. But she couldn't stop now. She needed to know everything.

And if that meant going with Richard, so be it.

[Emily]

He stopped at a group of trees. "I faked my own death for a reason. But now - I need your help."

As Mina looked into Richard's eyes, she didn't know what to think.
Forgotten memories resurfaced.
She remembered Richard's hazel eyes which would glow every time he smiled.
Now, as she stared at them, his eyes were dark, and lifeless, as if he had seen dark things.
She shivered at the thought.

Perhaps it was better if he was dead. Atleast his life would have been better.

Mina tensed up, because of everything that just happened

Richard’s gaze was stern. “I don’t have time or nonsense Mina. You’re coming with me now.”

Richard stared at Mina. She forced herself not to step back.

"Come, now" Richard whispered.

Mina peered at Richard, trying to get a better look. Something in her gut twisted, warning her this was wrong.
“Show me your scar Richard.” She declared.
She could feel him tense.

This was Richard. She knew no one else could have such a scar.

If Richard noticed Mina’s uneasiness, he didn’t say anything.

Nothing was left to be said anyways.
It had never been like this with Richard before. She remembered the cheerful days and the peaceful nights, they had always had each other. It wasn’t so different now, but Mina knew it was.
She could feel it with a ferocity she didn’t know she had.

Things were different.

Richard was different.

She was different too.

They were just..... walking and walking and then more walking. They stopped to rest occassionally and to drink, and then resumed walking.

Goosebumps rose on Mina's arms as she gazed at the shadowy graveyard they had stopped at.

The tombs in the grave yard all wrote Richard she was horrified when she looked up at the sky she saw stars and she sighed they had been walking for 2 hours straight her legs were shaking , but she was finally relived that they had reached there destination she knew that because Richard sat on the cold grass.
