Great post, Segilola - have you had any experience with Hostgator? That's who I'm with now - any time I've had an issue and called them, someone has actually picked up the phone and has actually solved the problem for me - since I'm a total idiot when it comes to website design, etc., that's been invaluable. I'm sure they have pros and cons, but they've been wonderful for me.

Hostgator is good, but considering the poor service I received from name.com, I needed a company with exceptional customer service. On the whoishostingthis.com website, SiteGround has almost double the number of reviews as hostgator and its overall rating is much better than that of hostgator. that was the deciding factor for me.
I just tried their live chat system just now and the message I got back was "your expected wait time is 8 minutes". That is of no use to me. I would only contact tech support if there was a problem and needing to wait 8 minutes is 8 minutes too long for me. I don't think I have waited more than a minute to get to chat with someone at SiteGround so far.
