I'm a little nervous that we'll get less of Victor and the gang in the upcoming sections because when I quickly flipped through before starting to look for their names, I didn't see them as much in the middle of the book. Still keeping my fingers crossed!

1) She wants to steal Syd away.
2) She can't feel pain, so Victor can't do anything.
3) She's touched Mitch, so she can basically do whatever she wants to him or in his name.

Just interested: who do you think is worse? Eli or Marcella? If you had to let one of them walk, who would be less of a danger?

And I agree that I'm starting to sympathise with Eli way more because of his backstory which I can't blame the guy for how he turned up given the torture he's received. And it made it sound like he grew up in a cult of some sort.
I like Marcella but she's definitely the worse of two evils between Eli and her since her power can literally kill me. But I like her more than Eli cause she is a badass at what she does.
I want to know more about June and I feel like the third book may focus on her. She seems to be the new invincible Eli with her shapeshifting powers.
Speaking of Sydney I hope she'll not resurrect her sister or at least fid some way to control her cause thats dangerous. Like if all the girls (Syd, Serena, June and Marcella) teamed up the world is basically over.

I just finished! I'm semi-angry because IS THAT A FREAKING OPEN ENDING? I don't know where you are in the book so I won't go on a full tangent, but WHAT THE HECK HOW COULD VICTORIA DO THIS TO ME. Also, she said in an interview that each of these books will be five years apart. We have to wait for 2023!!

But speaking of the open ending, Vicious also had an open ending in a way so would you say it's worse than that?

A little off-topic, but how was ACOSF? My preorder is STILL in transit (thanks UPS) and I'm DYING waiting for it!

And I kinda feel bad for Eli being treated like an animal. I know he's a murderer and all but Stell's heroism is an eye roll. This is one of the few books that make me root for the villains cause the "heroes" are just not as compelling as them.
Also I just realised it took me this long (page 397) to realise that Marcella has the villain name when she went back to her maiden name. Like we have a VV, EE and now an MM. I'm just waiting to see if any future characters will share this trait.

Oh my gosh, I didn't even notice the thing about her last name! Victoria Schwab is so good at doing little subtle things like that! There's a reason I love her books 😂
Blech, Stell is not a hero. The thing about this series is that it's called the "Villains" series. It's not called that because there are distinct villains, but because everyone is a bit of a villain.

True that everyone is a villain in this world just different levels.
I really liked it though not as much as Vicious because I didn't feel that level of suspense from it (that or I'm being influenced by my book hnagover for ACOSF).
But that said it's not as bad as what I've seen other people say. That said by the end, I wasn't much of a fan of June anymore because she drugged Sydney. No one lays a finger to her! And also June kinda reminded me of Addie LaRue for a sec because of the freckles.
Also side note, just make sure that you go into ACOSF knowing it's really character-driven and a lot of smutty scenes cause I've seen people saying that it was boring/too much smut just so you go into it with the right expectations.

I think I liked this one more! I normally enjoy the later books in the series more than the first, but only so that I have time to get attached to the characters.
Yeah, my copy of ACOSF just came! I opened it to a random page and...LOTS of smut.

Yeah ACOSF is pretty much her "filthiest" book so far I think so go into it with that mindset.
