Samantha takes pride in three things; 1) her extensive NBA bobblehead collection, 2) her job as a creative account manager at a top marketing firm, 3) her ability to work with her taciturn boss, Oliver Mullican. While everyone else suffers under the pretty, suit-wearing, perfectionist Oliver, Samantha has made herself comfortable in his reign.

With years of experimental-journaling under her belt, Samantha believes there is nothing she doesn’t know about Oliver. After all, everything she needs to know, his coffee preference, his go-to font, his pet peeves, is in her codebook, Oliver’s code. Working with Oliver was complacently predictable until one unexpected tryst in the dark shattered her entire belief.

Suddenly, she finds herself reeling to make sense of this new unpredictable Oliver. Could it be that she was wrong about him all this time? What if there’s more to Oliver than his impassive cover? With her biggest campaign and job on the line, Samantha will need to figure out the answer to the most important question of all; Can you judge someone’s heart by its cover?

This sounds exciting, I love stories where people are not what they seem/portray themselves to be. Now I'm left wondering whether Samantha found a dark side, or a quirky side to Oliver, and what is this new discovery going to reveal about this not so predictable boss.

Where is it set? City? It allows me to build a picture of Samantha's life, where she lives and works etc....

The blurb peaked my interest, only because I'm hoping there might be some dark secret Oliver keeps to himself, or he hides his true personality which makes me wonder why?

The hook line at the end is good, that's normally the difference between me reading a book or not. If the last line intended to hook me in actually does that then it's a winner in my eyes.

"Can you judge someone's heart by its cover?" Never!

Again, character's who are not who they appear to be are very intriguing....but that's just me lol
