If you scroll down on our main page a little there's a mini challenges header and they'll be posted there as they're released. We don't do them every month so the most recent ones are December. We also post them up on our website https://www.the52book.club/category/m...

There aren't any for January. We don't do them every month (especially in January since our main 52 challenge just started), we do them sporadically through the year.

Thank you. This is my first year attempting the challenge and having the journal.

Yup! The prompts can definitely be done in any order. Doing it in order is considered an additional challenge.

No, there isn't. If you join our mailing list we did send out an email newsletter last week that said keep your eyes open for April.

I am using both. I know some participants are reading children’s books, graphic novels, & other options, so I figure these can work, too. Ultimately, it’s “your challenge, your rules”.
Luna wrote: "Hello! :) I'm new to this challenge, and I couldn't find the answer to my questions, so I'm asking here: is it okay to read short stories for the prompts? What about novellas?"
Absolutely! It's your challenge and you can read whatever length book you want, I often use children's picture books as well as novels. To me personally, anything with an ISBN number counts.

Can you please help me classify my last book read inside the challenge?
"Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows"
I am not sure if it fits in the challenge.
Thanks

Respectfully, if you're reading it then you're in the best position to decide what prompts it fits. I start at Prompt #1 and answer "yes" or "no" as I go through the list, then of all the "yes"'s I decide which one to put it under.

It's been a few years since I read this book, but I remember I really enjoyed it. I think it would fit with prompt 43, about finding identity as the women are exploring issues that they are not familiar with.

I agree with Alison, finding identity. I don't remember since it's a been awhile, but I thought there was a holiday celebrated too which could work if you don't celebrate Punjab holidays

The 2025 challenge and journal will be available sometime in November, we don't announce the exact date in advance.

Of course! Liz has been doing them for years and I just take the ones from Facebook and copy them here. I might not always get them up the same day, but they will be here eventually.

A few have been shared in our Facebook group, it's difficult to share files on Goodreads

Yes, last year someone had made a community spreadsheet for the 52 Books challenge. But I can't remember where I found it.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

If not, I’d really appreciate any suggestions - I already have read Anne of GG and other suggestions tend to be fantasy/romance/YA which I am trying to read less of this year. I’m hoping to read more classics/pre-20th century literature.
Thank you :)

I don't think data shows anywhere else, only when you go into a list.

Did you create a specific shelf, link it to the challenge, and make sure each of your Read books are in that shelf?

You choose the genres, they just have to be 4 different genres for the 4 different seasons.
Vikki wrote: "I don't understand the prompts for 6-9 Where do I find what genre 1-4 is?"
You get to choose the genres, they just have to be 4 different ones. We have a better breakdown on our challenge guide if that helps: https://www.the52book.club/2025-chall...

I think Canva is making it difficult because they want more people to get the paid version of the app.

I think that is definitely true. I like to use Canva in my classroom and my students started having a hard time getting the templates to work even when they chose "free" ones, which are becoming fewer and fewer. My school had to but educator accounts to make it useful for us.

Any photo editing software will work. Some use PicCollage, some use Photoshop, some manage to in Google Sheets or Paint.

I have a question. If I started a book in 2024 and finished it last week, can I count it in this challenge? Thank you.

Hi Kim, we didn't have templates available back when the challenge started. I don't think Liz started making them until a few years later when our Facebook page really took off. You could probably use one from any year and just change the date. We have some downloads available on our website at the bottom of each challenge, and also a plethora of things on Facebook.

Hi Kubajz, that's entirely up to you! I personally counted one as 2024 cause that's when I read the majority of the pages, but I know a lot of people in our Facebook group count whenever it was complete regardless.
