I've created this discussion area in case anyone wants to get the discussion started early!

Clarisa Rucabado Butler | 11 comments Just seen this!! Discussion online was good, and book left nobody indifferent! I particularly loved the dry, witty dialogue. As Diana said, acerbic! And the subtle social critique on the plight of women...

Jean (jeanque) | 1 comments What a superb group of people from such diverse and interesting backgrounds. Having lived and worked in a few countries I so appreciate hearing other people’s points of view. It expands your own perspective on life. I am sometimes shocked at my narrow English colonial views and appreciate having my vision and views expanded. Looking forward to the Grapes of wrath and some insights from one of the group who lives near where the book is set. Perhaps we could over time find books from the places we each live to share with the group?

Clarisa Rucabado Butler | 11 comments That is a very good idea, Jean! Dream... Was in fact a book chosen by Meddie a bit because of that. She comes from the city where that classic text is set. I am already starting to think which could I choose!
