I can't read Star Cross Sisters of Tuscany. It's a 4 month wait at my library. Sorry :(

I did report this on the other reporting thread.

Can't be helped. Doesn't disconnect the chain at least.

Must be a good book if you have to wait that long to get it!

Very satisfying when a book works for more than one challenge!☺

Almeta (menfrommarrs) | 11457 comments We are doing great!!

I've marked the remaining "key books" in bold and capital letters. These are necessary to continue the chain that we have created.

If for some reason, any one of the rest of the links in the chain can not be read, the chain will not be broken.

Thanks Connie. We are moving along nicely.

Lori Z | 2086 comments Just reported that I finished Christmas is Murder. Sorry its not a key book but the other 2 are both audio books so I wanted to read this while listening to Sisters First: Stories from Our Wild and Wonderful Life cause I didn't want to read 2 Christmas books at the same time. Anyway, I'm only a couple hours from finishing Sisters First so should finish that today (Wednesday) then on to Murder on the First Day of Christmas.
Our team is rocking it! And thank you Almeta, for keeping as organized!

Thanks for reporting your plans. We can rest easier now that you have mentioned completing two "key" books! Knew I could count on you.

I love it when a plan comes together!

Almeta (menfrommarrs) | 11457 comments It's HUMP DAY!

How's everyone doing? Anybody finding that they can't read all the books they are listed to read? Let me know and we can see if another member can help.

Otherwise, hope you are enjoying all of your books.

Jenn | 3029 comments Just finished Little Black Girl Lost, and starting on The Black Tulip. I am also reading The Dirty Book Club which could fit nicely between The Secret, Book & Scone Society and Tall Tails Secret Book Club with For Whom the Book Tolls?
If I can get it done, that is . . . ?

message 170: by Jayme, Moderator (last edited Feb 18, 2021 04:21AM) (new)

Jayme | 4519 comments You all are flying through your books!!!

@Connie - I finished The Star-Crossed Sisters of Tuscany and had to go back and read some other reviews because I am in the minority on this one - not a fan. I love the travelogue of Italy and the story that takes place in the 1950's, but our present day MCs are just horrible people that I can't root for. It is a quick read though. :(

Will start The Secret Lives of Church Ladies later this evening - very busy day ahead.

Hmmm. Interesting Title!!

Jenn, I'm adding The Dirty Book Club to the list. If you don't finish it, the chain will not be broken. If you do, 15 more poiints for the team!

Thanks for what you have read so far.
