Okay. Do you have any suggestions on what to start with or can I choose?

Awesome, I will go for The Woman in the Window then.

I know when I was a captain for a team Toppler last year it was easier to keep track of books read if there was a separate thread and we chit chatted and discussed strategy on the other.
❤️ what you did with the team names.
Off to seed my egg plant and peppers before the Toppler starts. Happy Reading everyone!!

I have a starter station in my dining room with grow lights and shelves. I live in southeast Virginia so I can get things in the ground fairly early. My peppers and egg plant need to go in the ground April 17th, so I am starting them from seed now which gives them roughly 7 weeks to grow. My broccoli has already sprouted and will start my tomatoes next week.

Jealous! I've no room. Just have houseplants along my livingroom windows.

CountdownHow to Win a Toppler
Starting with Murder, Madness & Love. It will be an estimated 6 1/2 hour read.I'm sure I'll check in before midnight!☺
I don't want to be a downer, but Almeta I just have a quick question about one of Connie's reads. Can she read The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion if it's hyphenated all-girl to link with girl? I know I couldn't use star-crossed to link with star.I just don't want her to read a book than not get credit for it. :(
Connie you can read a book that another team member is reading. We checked with Kristie and it's good to see ya!!

Helloooo Connie!Everything on your list fits, but The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion. Hypenenated words are considered a single word.
Read in any order that you wish.
Glad the you are able to join us and lengthen our chain.
I finished We Could Be Heroes. It was awesome! <3Starting I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You.

Thanks so much for the clarification. I am about half way thru The Secret Lives of Church Ladies. Sorry for being late.
Finished Not That I Could Tell and reported it in the reporting thread. Will start Tall Tails Secret Book Club tomorrow.
Good morning from this side of the world, already 8am here. I’m halfway through the first book, hoping to finish today. It’s my dad’s birthday today though, so I will also be busy celebrating that.
Just thought I'd pop in to say Hi! I've started listening to Sisters First: Stories from Our Wild and Wonderful Life and also started reading Christmas is Murder. Our weather forecast is calling for a foot of snow over the next 5 days so I should have plenty of time to read. If nothing else it does make some fine toppler weather! Anyway, happy toppling!
G"Morning Chain Reactors!Things going alright?
Reading The Secret Lives of the Amir Sisters this morning.
Almeta wrote: "@SAARBoth your reads are in a great position to continue the chain.
Let me know if you can add another book, so we can talk about the best strategy at that point."
Okay, I'll do that.
Finished The Woman in the Window and will start The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared next
Finished Tall Tails Secret Book Club ⭐⭐Starting The Secret, Book & Scone Society this evening. :)
Getting a lot of reading done on this cold dreary weekend!
We are doing great. The key books are being read first. I finished The Secret Lives of Church Ladies.
Now reading Living with Your Kids Is Murder.
Hi Almeta - Would it be possible to keep a running score of our books read - maybe updated at the end of the day where we are marking our books read in the reporting link? I like to peek at the other teams' spreadsheets (I know - competitive) to see where we stand and it would be easier to compare.

I haven't seen the other teams' scoring sheets. It implies, though, that they have started at the top of the chain, and are reading their way down. I wanted to be sure that the weakest links were covered first, and we have practically done that already,
I am trusting the Chain Reactors to read what they have said they would. If, nearer the end, they find they can not, then, those would be books that would not break the chain anyway.
Because Jayme expressed a curiosity, AND because we were all secretly curious.☺I have calculated a few scenarios to reflect a possible score. They are posted in messages 2, 3 and 4 of the reporting thread, Chain Reaction R3velations
@JaymeI took a look at your scoring discussion on the main Toppler page and looked at some spreadsheets. I see another point of view.
Anxious to read Kristie's answer.

That is why you are the captain :)
Jayme wrote: "....I didn't even think about the books having to be connected! Duh!!."That is, if that is true.
Happy Monday All :)I have finished The Sisters of the Winter Wood this morning, and will be starting Little Black Girl Lost #1 later today.
Almeta - got Kristie's reply to my question and you were right on how to score and that they have to be linked.Just finished The Secret, Book & Scone Society and moving on to Love Medicine.
