So sorry, Lanelle. It's so tough there! Hope this is over soon for you.

I just finished The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making... my favorite read of the Toppler...We are locked down with snow so I have time to add one more. Going with a romance because I need a Viking book and well- this one is available.
Lynn please add Surrender My Love link word love.

Lol! Every time I participate in a toppler I get a "what are you doing this week?" from my husband and have to explain it again.
I finished reading School Ship Tobermory and I've reported it. It's a cute story. My next book is Lord Sidley's Last Season. Link word: last
You guys have been reading machines! I have no idea where the week has gone. Good news is today I am not working and have 8 hours of my second book left so it will be definitely done in time!
It's our last full day of the toppler, how is everyone doing? If you think there might be a problem finishing a book that you have scheduled, please let me know so I can take a look at the chain and move things around if necessary.

I have gone back to a bloody ridiculous day at work. It did end at the pub, did not result in me picking up my glasses (which I wear to read), and then returning to Lexx surrounded by flat pack furniture boxes. We cannot move in our living room... I just cannot fathom what he has bought. But he is feeling guilty after spending today on organising said furniture, he does want to do a few hours tomorrow at work, so I will read up a storm! I have said this is the priority and after my book is finish I will wield my allen key.

Result for the pub!! Oh how I wish we are out of lockdown and the pubs open again!

I have finished When You Reach Me, making progress with Summer in Baden-Baden, should finish it before toppler ends. I really need to choose my books with more thought, just because the book is short, doesn't mean it's easy to read, especially with no chapter breaks and each sentence lasting a paragraph, no Russian books next time, lol.

I will have no problem with my second book Lynn.

I will have no problem with my second book Lynn.
Anna's Reading Life wrote: "Result for the pub!! Oh how I wish we are out of lockdown and the pubs open again!."Oh I am sorry! I didn't think about how gloating that would sound to you guys in lockdown with a stronger pub culture than us.
Soon!! And how lovely it is to go out and not be terrified of catching something. You guys won't know yourselves once you get this wave under control!
Pragya wrote: "no Russian books next time, lol."Oh god, I have done that before Pragya. It's alright, we all need to learn that lesson lol
I love books in translation from all over the world, but there are some you cannot rush, no matter the size.
Lynn, can I build off the last word in the chain (woman)? I'd like to read Bubba and the Dead Woman.

Lol! Don't worry about it - I didn't see it as gloating - just make sure that every time you go to the pub, have a second drink for me!!

Lynn, I feel super guilty, knowing this was probably why we started with 'summer' in the first place but with 100 pages still to go and knowing how dry and tough read it is, I don't think I will be able to finish Summer in Baden-Baden in time. For whatever is it worth, I started and finished Chasing a Croatian Girl: A Survivor's Tale that fits for 'girl'. It was a really quick read and so funny. Highly recommended.
According to the spreadsheet we're still waiting on: Lynn - Big Summer and Loneliest Girl in the Universe
(I have no worries that I'll finish them before the deadline)
Anna - You Are Not Alone
Carrie - The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down
Lanelle - The Course of True Love
Rusalka - Ship Breaker
Just came in to check the time. Have 20% to go and I believe 5 hours left. Hopefully done within the hour, but will let you know!
Anna's Reading Life wrote: "Lol! Don't worry about it - I didn't see it as gloating - just make sure that every time you go to the pub, have a second drink for me!"A happy promise to make ;)
I've finished my second book and will report it now.
Well done everyone!
Well done everyone!

How many books did you read this week, Lanelle? I have lost count. :p
Pragya wrote: "How many books did you read this week, Lanelle? I have lost count. :p"*grin* I lost count, too. I had to check the spreadsheet.
This was such a fun week. Thank you teammates...y’all rock!! Lynn you are a superstar...thank you for keeping us organized
Teammates, it was a fun toppler and taught me lessons (no Russian books for the toppler please!) and helped me find a great book (Chasing a Croatian Girl: A Survivor's Tale). Thanks, Lynn. Making and maintaining that spreadsheet, wow!
Great job everyone! And a super big thank you to Lynn for keeping us all on track!

I've finished it and reported it. Love this book. I cried. Again."
Oh wow, that was quick.
