It was nice chatting with Hugh, Debra, Irene, Joy, and Linda. It will surprise no one to hear we discussed The Trees! Does this group ever come to a consensus, David? :)
Aaargh i forgot all about the meeting. Cindy. Sorry to hear of the death of your grandmother. And 112 years What a long life! May she rest in peace and may you find comfort in the treasuring of lovely memories.
Apologies I couldn't make it - as I suspected my body clock though it was 4am so I was in bed by then.
Thank you for the lovely comments about my grandmother's passing. I am particularly sorry to have missed more discussion of The Trees!
I'm interested and I would like to get back to more activity with the group. We are selling our house and waiting for the new one to open, so my life has been a little random and unfocused, but I will be there if I can.
I suggest leaving it a few weeks after the longlist announcements to give people time to start reading. My suggestion is Sunday April 2nd.
We are still planning to do this next Sunday (April 2nd) starting 2000 BST. I will email the zoom details nearer the time - if you weren't on the list last time or your email has changed you'll need to send me your email address in a private message.
I am always busy when these are planned and I’m sorry to miss them. I’ll be at a hockey tournament in New York that day, evening for us, but if I’m in the hotel room at that time I’ll join so please send me the link, Hugh.I just have to figure out the time difference post-daylight savings time here and whatever sunshine manipulation the UK enacts…
I am hoping to get the Zoom meeting details sent out by email on Saturday, but I'll be out walking, so it may slip to Sunday morning. I'd be happy to send additional invitations until a couple of hours before we start.
Thanks to everyone who joined - it was an interesting discussion. We'll do it again during the Booker longlist season, maybe late August or early September.

I won't be able to make it either unfortunately. I'm at a cottage with limited internet (hard life I know). Pity as I'd love to discuss these books, but catch you all next time.
