Cecily had two problems a bossy mother and her boyfriend. I did not like This character It was too nervous.

For Cecily she needed courage because so many people in her life were not supportive in the least. The fact that she needed courage unfolds as you learn about how she came about entering into Brede. She fled but also had courage to enter. It’s an interesting mix.
