This was a quick read for me, and kudos to the author for fast pacing with little extraneous material in the plot. At times, I had problems with abrupt and non-existence transitions that left me sorting out where I was from one scene to the next. The relationship between Tara and Callum added little to the story for me; it seemed unlikely given the development of it on the pages. Friendship, I could have believed. I enjoyed the book anyway and gave it a 3 1/2 rating.

Cleopatra Pullen (cleopatralovesbooks) | 2 comments I finished this yesterday - I do enjoy crime fiction that has dual strands so this got points for the past/present angle.
Also you can't get more British than Cambridge!
I did however find it took me a while to get into the storyline and the mystery around Justin was too obscure for too long.
Once I was in though I was keen to see if I'd got it right; I hadn't but I enjoyed the end of the journey.

Lorraine | 28 comments I started this last night, i got to about 40% before going to bed, I'm not sure i like the two plots, I'll make my mind up as i read further. Callum is intriguing though and I'm guessing that the murders relate to something he has done.

Lorraine | 28 comments Just finished, for a short book this was a bit of a slog. I didn't like the 2 plots and i worked out the Latimer College one at about 85%. I found Tara odd and couldn't warm to her. Wasn't one i would recommend, 3* and i probably won't bother with the next one.
