I can't remember the name or author but I believe there are two or three books in the series, all about the same people. The book features a girl who is very computer smart and works some sort of computer job, might have something to do with computer security? I remember her having a lot of nerdy and pop culture themed interests and an apartment full of pop culture merch and comics. I think at the end of the first book she end up working with her boss (who is the main love interest) for the government in charge of network security things. She gets kidnapped by some foreign rival government in the second book and is rescued by her boss and friend. She ends up exploding the base where she was kidnapped by messing around with their thermostat controls.

I read this series around 3-4 years ago. I'm sorry this is such a mishmash of details but hopefully someone knows which series/first book i'm talking about.

I found it after a lot of investigative googling! It's the corrupted hearts series by Tiffany Snow. There are four books in the series, first is called Follow Me.
