Alex and Connor are back! A year goes by and Alex is feeling lonelier than ever after they left the Land of Stories. So, when their grandma comes into their house and puts them in house lockdown, its more than a surprise. When the twins find a way into the Land of Stories again, meet Froggy in the Dwarf forest and learn that their mom has been kidnapped by the enchantress, they go with Froggy to Red Riding Hood’s kingdom and create a plan to make a airship and find the pieces to make the Wand of Wonderment. To create the Wand of Wonderment, you need the “six most prized possessions of the six most hated people in the world.” Who are they: Evil Queen, Giant, The Snow Queen, Sea Witch, Cinderella’s stepmother, and the Enchantress. What the pieces are: ??? Join Alex and Connor, as they travel around the Land of Stories, collecting and make the Wand of Wonderment and hopefully defeat the Enchantress before she takes over both worlds.

I liked this book because like with the first book (The Wishing Spell) this book gives twists to the stories once again and tries to connect them together as well as adding nursery rhymes into the mix. The addition of Rumpelstiltskin being the eight brother of the dwarf’s family in Snow White and him becoming the Enchantress apprentice because he was tricked into thinking she was going to be a great fairy makes for a really interesting story/plot point. I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
