Vinny is technically a new guest, although his voice may be familiar from a readalong episode. We talk about books strange and weird, translated, and an exciting memoir few have heard of (but I can't wait to read!)

Dree | 24 comments I listened to the Forche on Libby--I actually downloaded it before I finished listening to the episode (I actually still haven't finished the episode). I did not love it as much as Vinny did, but I finished. I hadn't heard of the this book either, but it was a finalist for the National Book Award in 2019! So someone had heard of it. The Yellow House was the winner that year; it is excellent.

I added the Catherine book to my TBR, but Jenny, if you like the themes of immigration/coming home, you might also enjoy Ignorance by Milan Kundera. Themes include home (where is home?) and memory. I listened for Read the World 21 last June. I'm sure you don't need another Czech book, but I enjoyed it.

This looks good, actually, so thanks. I have read other books by Kundera but not this one!
