Do you guys think drag counts as dancing if its like performative?
I should finish mine at the latest tomorrow.
Tomorrow or Sunday the latest I will finish the book which fits 9 or 3
So I am reading a book that would fit an 8 or a skip and also would cover a book set in Australia with a character who gets a perm. And the book that fits the eclipse and it would cover the 8 too.
Finished my book - Sinfully Mine. It fits 8, 9 and skip cards. Updated the spreadsheet, used it for a 9. (can be changed if needed.)
I'll try to read 1 more book until the end of the month.
Finished Empire of Storms... that was a lot of pages, good pages, but a long. im going to see if a cram a short book before I go ahead and finish the series.
for the mini, how big does the diamond jewelry has to be in order to classify? a necklace on the heroine portrayed in the cover that might be diamonds? or a huge ring as the main item in the cover?
Alejandra- I think as long as you can tell it's a diamond it should work. The April books are on the team spreadsheet that has a link under the very first message on our team thread.
Just finished the drag queen book, so I’ll definitely be able to get another one done in the next few days. Great work grinding this out in the last couple days everyone!!
Do y’all think this would count for bird on the cover, or do you think it needs to be a real bird?
i think it does qualify. When i was looking for books with birds on the cover i found this one on a GR shelf with that category.
I'm going to take my 9 book out of the master sheet because I may not finish it this weekend. If anyone has a 9, they can slot it in. I am going to finish the book for the mini challenge.

Ive checked the spread, I can't see the April cards, can't see the copy of the official board, just the April general spread... is it just me?I'll be reading the last two books of the throne of glass series in April, that's a blue and a yellow.
I have a book with a diamond ring on the cover I can reread... I tried to find a new book with jewelry on the cover, but most of what I have is not evidently diamonds...

I had the same problem but that’s because I misunderstood. You have to go to the team spreadsheet linked in the first post of this thread. It is different from the spreadsheet we use to log our books.

I found a book I want to read that will satisfy the rags-to-riches for the mini. So now I have three left to read for that. Two and a half really since I’m at least halfway through one of them. But that’s what I’ll be doing the next few days.
So it looks like we only have 6 left for the mini now!
I have a book i can reread for the australia one, so we just need a perm, leather jacket, and white suit
I am reading a book with a character with a perm so then all we need is the jacket and the white hat or suit.

Update; i found a book with a leather jacket on my shelf if anybody else can read an aussie book. I dont think I can get through both lol
Well, the book I am reading is Australian and a character with a perm so I could use for one or the other. I have another Australian book but I don’t think I can finish 3 books by Wednesday.
please give me the titles of the aussie books you have. I'll look for them on my audiobooks service.
The Other Side of the World by Stephanie Bishop but it is about 352 pages which might be a bit long for a short read. Have you ever read Picnic at Hanging Rock by Joan Lindsey? It was good, about girls disappearing from a school field trip. It’s an older book but under 200 pages.
Ok I found a book on Pixie shelf with the Australia setting. I'll remove a pixie card off our hands that can be substituted by one of our extra books.
I just finished the perm book (sorry no mention of Meg Ryan.) Now to finish the eclipse book. Let me know if we will need anything else in the next couple days. If not, I'll start on some color books to be able to finish right after April starts.

Sorry, I didn't add it in the mini-challenge tab on the spreadsheet... But I'm currently reading the book and will finish it before the end of the month.
@Brittany, do you think you'll be finishing your rags to riches book? I didn't see it in the log. Let us know if you drop it. @Lynne, I don't know if you already started your rags to riches book, if Brittany is reading one, maybe you can put that one to the end just in case Brittany can finish first so your load is not that heavy.

Finished mine for the mini! On standby for anything else if there are holes on the 31st, gonna slow down and start looking at April though.
Okay, I just finished the official spreadsheet and did a bunch of double checking. One of the books that we had down for a blue card was actually green and I have a blue one I was gonna read for April anyway so Im just gonna take care of that one for the next couple days. Glad I caught it before Pixie ;)

Finished the solar eclipse book! I believe I have one book left in me if any need read before Thursday.

We got 18 color cards yikes! So, it may be a good idea to tackle some of those first. Luckily we didn't get as much 7's , 9's and Reverse. The 5's are moderate. Here's the list of cards for April:

I'm thinking on adding another tab on the SS to report all our findings on color cards and compare and decide who will read what, let me know if you think is a good idea or it might just complicate things.
So this is a challenge. As a motivational note, we were the last team, #29 on Feb, we are at this moment #14. This depends just as much on effort as on luck with the hands we get. It seems we got our big set of cards on the last month, when teams might start to loose momentum... damn randomizer. Let's do this.
I have two books which are suitable for April's color cards, and I am going to read them first.

is for 6 Blue
I am working on a green book that I have been trying to read since we started this challenge. I am hopeful to get it done for a green 3 or 4 this week. I have also been trying to read this book for red 3 for the last 2 months but I am less hopeful about completion.

Maybe Red 3Elena- I don't think I will be reading The Searcher after all so if you want to read it, it meets several of the green criteria.
It does seem like a good idea to begin April with focussing on color cards. The separate tab would be a good idea and we could enter what we are planning to read to meet the color cards.
OK, I added the sheet April color, let's see how that format works out. If you like just input the info as you've been doing it in the main sheet, and I'll be checking and I will input that in the table for color, or if you want to do it that's fine too. You can check that sheet to know which colors are still needed. If you have something that is already taken (just once), put it anyway because we also have four WD4.

I found something for that task but I haven't start it yet. If you are on it you can replace the book I input. I'll look for something else from the tasks left in case I'm able to squeeze another book after finishing the ones I'm reading.
