The blurb is so good, so creative! Eleanor West’s Home for Wayward Children does remind me of Miss. Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, but going from the blurb, the premise is completely different.
So excited!

I found the below two quotes quite beautiful so pasting them down for you all (not spoiler-y):
“Old enough to know what I’m losing in the process of being found.”
“Their love wanted to fix her, and refused to see that she wasn't broken.”
Enough blabbering, bye!

Looking forward to hear from all of you and secretly hoping that one of you will convince me to feel differently about this book. :)

Other than saying I want to participate how do I join in?

David, you don’t have to do anything. Just start sharing your thoughts here as you progress through the book.
Have you started (re)reading?

Alice got in and out of Wonderland fine. But how would the Penvensie children deal with growing into adulthood in Narnia then being reduced to powerless children again?

Quote that resonated the most strongly as painful, ugly truths often do:
We notice the silence of men. We depend on the silence of women.

Right now, I'm trying to track down whom I lent Every Heart a Doorway to.

Loved Kade. And Christopher. Enjoyed Nancy and Jack. Wasn't at all surprised to find out about Jil..."
Elaine! I totally agree about that quote and your note about the end and Nancy. We have a long series so who knows what will happen next

This is on..."
I enjoyed reading your thoughts David and I like your thought-provoking note about the Narnia children

Thanks for your kind words.
I've read up to book six of the series so far, some of them I've enjoyed more than others.

Aw I'm so glad you loved it! Will you be reading the rest of the series with us too?

Thanks so much for sharing David!

I gave it a 3 star rating.
My final thoughts: I had no idea what to expect going into this book. Overall I enjoyed the concept of the story. I spent the first half the ..."
I think I’m at that stage too, Zeejane. I don’t feel content after reading YA these days, and I’m left more frustrated or wanting for more. I would not like to blame it on my age, but it could be that, haha (although I keep convincing myself that 30 is the new 20). 😜
Also, agreeing with your view. Had the same thoughts.

I'm also starting her Feed series under the pen name Mira Grant. I'm really looking forward to this one. They aren't novellas.

Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!
Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.
