the Richard A. Lupoff's Marblehead: A Novel of H. P. Lovecraft originally appeared in a shortened version as Lovecraft's Book. it later appeared in its complete form. a couple of weeks ago,

I merged the two books, but now the shortened version of the novel appears when the book should appear as Marblehead, particularly so since a recent e-book edition of the novel splits the text of Marblehead into two different books, making it, in effect, into a series.

however, if I put Lovecraft's Book (the earlier, abridged version of Marblehead) as an omnibus of the two works, that'll not really reflect the reality, and if a collector tracks down a copy, they might get disappointed. so how do I make Marblehead into the "definitive", reader-facing title for this book?

I hope that all made sense.
