switching editions after adding alternate book cover

Hello,

So I just added an alternate book cover which I want to be my default. However as I understand, to do this I have to switch to this default edition of my book for it to display? But then will I lose all the reviews I have on my current edition (will the new edition with the new cover not display any reviews?)

You won't lose anything by setting the new one as the default.

thank you. wondering if I did it right? For some reason sometimes when I click to it, it shows the old cover, but sometimes the new. Will new users be shown the new cover?
