Ha! I posted just before I saw this! This week was something else, but yes, I got a book in yesterday. Hoping to squeeze another in today!
Angie wrote: "Should I use my upcoming reads to explore the parts of the board we haven't covered yet?"Sure. Good luck :)
Angie, do you have any ideas on where to aim to sink that ship that is going down the 'B' column? It's a bit confusing.
Lanelle wrote: "Angie, do you have any ideas on where to aim to sink that ship that is going down the 'B' column? It's a bit confusing."I was wondering about that. Could it be two stacked on top of each other? Or one sitting horizontally on top of the other? I'll have at least one more finished today, so I'll try to put some feelers out.
EDIT: Looking at the board again, one of the ships involved has to be the five-spot. I think our best bet right now is to continue in the column until we hit blanks (top and bottom) and then start in horizontally if we need to. ;)
Thanks for the help, Angie. I just posted two books. I took the spot at the top of the column and I went to the side at the bottom. Hopefully we get some hits :)
We've sunk four ships!!! But we still need to find that elusive Destroyer (or Patrol Boat - it depends on if we're playing the old Milton Bradley version or the new Hasbro one).
Wow, nice job, Lanelle! I hadn't even considered that those two hits could be connected! Back on the hunt for the tiny boat--whichever one it is!And I feel like I'm just falling further behind--I've been sick the last few days and not up to reading much of anything, but I did get my one book posted (finally!) and I hope to get some more in soon!

I haven't told you. I've been here in Virginia for a week. I love it here. Very beautiful. Quite different from Arizona!

I ha..."
Oh, that's awesome! Glad you're enjoying! Yes, totally different scenery from Arizona. :D
The last little ship has been found!!!Here are the targets around it in order to sink it:
I've taken G4. Also E4.
Angie took F5.
Ashley has taken F3. That little ship is surrounded. Hopefully :)
Hold all reviews until we get our next Board.
The wind knocked down some power lines here in Stafford. We were without electricity for about 2 1/2 hours. How are you, Angie?
I have a new granddaughter. Gemma Lynn was born yesterday afternoon. She was a whopping 9 lbs, 11 ozs. And 21 3/4 inches.
She's so cute! Congratulations! :) That name is so beautiful too.(Hope you don't mind my popping in to be excited with you, Lanelle.)

Thank you. (And I'm glad you dropped in :)
Ladies, I'm so sorry I've dropped the ball again. My health issues have been worse than normal the last few weeks, and it's hard to concentrate some days. Also, there's a new staff member joining my team next week, which means prepping training materials this week and actual training most of next week, and it's not the mindless kind of work that I can listen to books with. I'll still try to get some reading in where I can, but I'm afraid it's going to be way down for a little while. :(
Good news, the elusive Destroyer (or Patrol Boat) got sunk! We have found two other boats. Keep firing those torpedoes or cannons or whatever :D
