Lanelle It looks like we've found 4 of the 5 ships on our current board. We're getting there.

Angie, do you think you'll sink that ship you've been working on anytime soon? :D

Ha! I posted just before I saw this! This week was something else, but yes, I got a book in yesterday. Hoping to squeeze another in today!

Sure. Good luck :)

Lanelle Angie, do you have any ideas on where to aim to sink that ship that is going down the 'B' column? It's a bit confusing.

I was wondering about that. Could it be two stacked on top of each other? Or one sitting horizontally on top of the other? I'll have at least one more finished today, so I'll try to put some feelers out.

EDIT: Looking at the board again, one of the ships involved has to be the five-spot. I think our best bet right now is to continue in the column until we hit blanks (top and bottom) and then start in horizontally if we need to. ;)

Lanelle Thanks for the help, Angie. I just posted two books. I took the spot at the top of the column and I went to the side at the bottom. Hopefully we get some hits :)

Lanelle We've sunk four ships!!!

But we still need to find that elusive Destroyer (or Patrol Boat - it depends on if we're playing the old Milton Bradley version or the new Hasbro one).

Angie Thompson (angiethompson) | 338 comments Wow, nice job, Lanelle! I hadn't even considered that those two hits could be connected! Back on the hunt for the tiny boat--whichever one it is!

And I feel like I'm just falling further behind--I've been sick the last few days and not up to reading much of anything, but I did get my one book posted (finally!) and I hope to get some more in soon!

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well. Hopefully you'll be back on your feet soon.

I haven't told you. I've been here in Virginia for a week. I love it here. Very beautiful. Quite different from Arizona!

Oh, that's awesome! Glad you're enjoying! Yes, totally different scenery from Arizona. :D

Lanelle The last little ship has been found!!!

Here are the targets around it in order to sink it: E4, G4, F3, F5

I've taken G4. Also E4.

Angie took F5.

Ashley has taken F3. That little ship is surrounded. Hopefully :)

Hold all reviews until we get our next Board.

message 113: by Angie (new)

Angie Thompson (angiethompson) | 338 comments It better be! :D

I've got another one ready as soon as we get a new board. :)

Lanelle The wind knocked down some power lines here in Stafford. We were without electricity for about 2 1/2 hours. How are you, Angie?

message 115: by Angie (new)

Angie Thompson (angiethompson) | 338 comments Got a lot of wind here, but no outages that I know of, praise the Lord! :D

Angie Thompson (angiethompson) | 338 comments Ladies, I'm so sorry I've dropped the ball again. My health issues have been worse than normal the last few weeks, and it's hard to concentrate some days. Also, there's a new staff member joining my team next week, which means prepping training materials this week and actual training most of next week, and it's not the mindless kind of work that I can listen to books with. I'll still try to get some reading in where I can, but I'm afraid it's going to be way down for a little while. :(

message 122: by Lanelle (new)

Lanelle Don't worry about it, Angie. Life has to come first. I do hope that things settle down soon though.

Lanelle Good news, the elusive Destroyer (or Patrol Boat) got sunk! We have found two other boats. Keep firing those torpedoes or cannons or whatever :D

Lanelle Team Two has won the game. Thanks for being such a good team!

Angie Thompson (angiethompson) | 338 comments Good game, everyone! Sorry I couldn't contribute that much at the end. We made a good run of it, though! And thanks, Lanelle, for keeping us all organized and moving. <3
