Welcome back Megan. When I’m in a slump I try to read a favourite genre or author. Lynette Eason, Karen Witemeyer always writes winners.

Yes, I think I do. The book I just finished is part of a series and I'm hoping it'll keep me interested. :)

We have a hit! Way to go, team!My plumbing is fixed. My sister's and parents' are not yet. Hopefully by the end of this week we'll all three be back in business. My edit job is due Saturday, so I've got to make sure to get those final chapters in on time. Other than that and the catch-up on washing dishes and laundry, I ought to be back at a normal-for-me reading pace soon.

So glad your plumbing is fixed! Yeah!
I have one book to post and one an hour away from finish.
Thank you! I am too. I have to wait to catch up on laundry, as I use my mom's facilities (I don't have my own washer/dryer), but I am starting the dishes catch-up tomorrow morning.Yay! So happy you've got some books to post. Happy reading on the finale of that second one!
All righty, y'all. We have a hit and need to sink that ship. Let's see if we can determine which direction it's resting. Here are the spots we need to target soon...D6, C7, E7, D8
Sarita, I like that you're doing a checkerboard pattern. Well done!
Staci, I like what you're doing too. The wider pattern will spot check for larger ships. If we can't find the two-spot, we can always go back and hit those middle spots. Great job!
Team, we're doing great. Let's keep it up!
I've got some tight deadlines on library audiobooks, so I'm aiming to get all three of them done this week, plus Sundin's When Twilight Breaks, around the final chapters of my edit job.
Thanks for the target spots. Wasn’t sure if I should try for the ship we found or try to find others 😳.
We need both. If you'd like to keep on your track, I can target three of the four (at least) by the end of the week. I'll check here before I target to see if anyone has used those spots.
I should have one, maybe two books done by Monday, so will aim for one or two of the other three if still available by then.
Thanks Andrea! That last one was a short one and several pages had illustrations. :-) Surely, we'll be getting more hits soon.
Hopefully! We've got quite a scattered selection going now (organized chaos, which is good), so I'm with you: we ought to be getting some hits.My edit job is not yet on Goodreads. Even if it were, it's a page too short to count. Shucks!
I should have one or two books finished this weekend. At least one or two.
Great job on the books, ladies!I'm so sorry I fell down on the job this week. My edit job is now turned in, and a surprise opportunity came up that had to take all my focus on Sunday afternoon and evening. I should have time today to finish one or two books, as I don't have work on Mondays right now.

No worries Andrea. We Know you will come back with a bang when you can.
Team two just sunk their two-spot on board #2. Their board could go fast because of that. Hopefully we can find our smallest ship soon too.We found a couple of ships! Let's sink 'em! Here are some potential spots to target around our current known ships:
B7, F2, F4, E3, G3, J4, J6, I5
We also will need to keep hunting too, so feel free to search the more open areas on the board to see if we can locate those last two ships.
We're doing fantastic, y'all! Let's keep rollin'!
Hi Stacy,It's ok I think, it wasn't impressive, the characters were rather lifeless and it had a lesbian relationship in it (nothing excplicit, it was just stated that one female character had a relationship with another woman). I think if you are reeeaally interested in the historic details, then you could give it a go, but I think other books are more worth your time. :)
Davina, thanks. Now I'm glad I didn't get approved from NetGalley before it came out. It doesn't sound like my type of book at all, other than the history angle.
We've got hits!Update on what we need...
We sank a three-spot ship. Way to go team!
We need to try some of these spots to try to sink others or see which direction they're resting:
And we still need to find the two-spot.
Happy reading, team! We're doing great.
Update:We've sunk two ships and found out the direction for two others. We still need to hunt down the last, shortest one.
Good spots to hit:
G5, F5, D3, C3
One of those ships has to be the four and the other the five.
I've got a couple of books I'll finish soon. I'll work on hunting down that two-spot. It's got to be there somewhere.
How goes the reading to kick off this week, ladies?
Great. I have one to post. I saw all the other target posts so thought I will first wait before posting.I'm reading a Novella now, which won't count. But almost done with
and then going to start

Thanks - audio and yesterday and today had more travel to do.
Sorry guys, I've been such a slow reader this past month! I have a lot to do for school and am working on a few books at the same time!I hope I can finish this one:
tomorrow!
No worries, Davina! I'm sure you'll be back in a good groove soon. Droughts don't last forever. ;) I hope your school stuff is going great!
Update: We sank another ship!We need B3 to sink our largest ship on this board. Who wants it? (Wish I would have known that when I guessed on either side of it. Haha!)
We also need to try spots on column A as well as rows 1, 9, and 10 to find that two-spotter.
I'll try to get through an audiobook tomorrow.
I will probably have new books only after the weekend. Just started a few. So will check in then to see what is still available, otherwise will target those lower rows.
I finished a book last night and posted it and am hoping for another one today, despite having a long to-do list to work on.
Looks like team two will have at least two or three books to put in on their third board once they get their final ship sunk today (assuming that happens).I'll try to pick up my reading pace again, to make sure we don't fall behind. :) I should have a book or two finished tonight. I'll wait on updates to see if we have a hit yet.
Do we want to coordinate our hits for next board? I love the every-three-spots Staci was doing this time. That helped us find several ships quickly. We can always adjust later to find the two-spot, if we don't stumble upon it.If we do the every-three-spots thing, do we want to figure up a list of spots to hit to keep a running list of what's available? I don't mind keeping track of it for us, if you want.
Even with this, I think sinking ships right away is a good idea.
I'm open to other ideas too. Let's chat.
Thoughts?
