Fantasy series to start/continue/finish:1. Legend of Condor Heroes, starting from A Hero Born
2. The Singing Hills Cycle, continuing with the sequel When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain
3. The Age of Madness, finishing with The Wisdom of Crowds
Turns out that I haven't updated my calendar with all the new releases coming out this year. Oops! But I did have these and they should be awesome! =D
Fugitive Telemetry #6
Cast in Conflict #16
Relentless: A Joe Ledger and Rogue Team International Novel #2
The Thorn of Emberlain #4
I am looking forward to start reading fantasy this year. I am starting with "The banished land saga" and then "Paternus trilogy" and "mistborn trilogy".
Most looking forward to reading this year:Faithful and the Fallen - John Gwynne
Soldier Son trilogy - Robin Hobb
Winterkeep - Kristin Cashore
Also really looking forward to the Faithful and the Fallen- I've seen a lot of good reviews for this, so I can't wait!Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay- I've not read any of his work yet but I have an inkling it's gonna be good...
And The Gentleman Bastard series by Scott Lynch, need some good grimdark in my life and hoping this will deliver!
Yes, add me to the list of people wanting to read The Faithful and the Fallen! 🤩Also can't wait to read The Five Warrior Angels series (The Forgetting Moon) by Brian Lee Durfee (which will be finished this year).
And as a big fan of Graceling and Bitterblue, I'm so happy the Graceling Realm series is finally being finished properly with Winterkeep (although all previous books also worked as standalones).

Clicked for the Robin Hobb, lol. What's this trilogy about? O.o
I'm most excited for these books series in 2021 :DThe Summer Tree
The Lies of Locke Lamora
Kings of the Wyld
I, Strahd: The Memoirs of a Vampire
There's probably more...but that's what I can think of for now XD
My main goal for 2021 is to finish the Realm of the Elderlings - Fool's Errand is the next on the list for me.
Other books/series I'm interested in:
The Rage of Dragons
Magician: Apprentice Volume 1

I don't even know what it's about Katie! But it's not Realm of the Elderlings. I'm hoping to get a buddy read together when I know when I'll have time to read it (baby due next month!!), if you'd be interested in joining me?? :)
By the way, all the people who've expressed interest in The Faithful and the Fallen: there will be a buddy-read starting on Feb 11 here:https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

@Siobhan - If you can read this series without having read the Realm of the Elderling series first I might join you. It'll be good to read a bit of Robin Hobb but I'm in the middle of too many long series to commit to Elderling this year. This would be a good compromise.
Also I think I might have said this on another thread but just in case I didn't congratulations on impending motherhood 👶😊

Ahhh yes this is totally separate to RotE so might be ideal for you! ☺️
Thanks so much Hailee! ❤️
@Siobhan ~ ooh yes! Yeah it sounded like it wouldn’t be a realm of the Elderling piece so it will be interesting to see a new viewpoint! I’d love to read it with you sometime this year. Whenever everyone has free time ^~^Baby next month?! Oh my goodness. Time flies!! How exciting ^~^
That's great, I'm starting The Faithful and the Fallen this month so probably be a few months before I get to Hobb, but will give you and Hailee a shout!
Siobhan wrote: "That's great, I'm starting The Faithful and the Fallen this month so probably be a few months before I get to Hobb, but will give you and Hailee a shout!"Sounds good. I don't own the books and probably won't buy them until I know when we'll read them (unless waterstones have a double stamps sale lol) so just give me at least a week or two's warning 😊
Btw are you reading all the Faithful and the Fallen books with buddies on Bookstagram? If so are you doing one a month or one every two months like us?

We haven't actually decided yet! I would probably choose to do one a month. Do you already have threads for the whole series?
I'll definitely give you a few weeks notice for Soldier Son :)
Great thanks and no I've only requested Malice so far. I think we're pretty confident it'll be on a one every two month basis but I thought it would be better to make a definite decision and request the rest of the threads once we've read book 1 and everyone knows at what pace they can read them.

1. The Wisdom of Crowds - This is due to land in September - I can't wait for more Abercrombie!2. The Free Bastards - Also due to land in September, this trilogy has been great, fairly crude and quite funny, but not without heart.
3. The Blacktongue Thief - Robin Hobb wrote a great review for this one, so I'm curious to check it out :-)
