Kim begins an investigation into the cold case of a murdered man whose fingers had been cut off and Tracy referred to as Bob. Did you think this case would eventually connect with the Westerley Farm investigations?

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) Yes, I did think there was some sort of connection, there usually is when another storyline is added to these sort of crime thrillers. All the different threads coming together is one of the strengths of this series.

Honestly, I couldn’t see it. I thought maybe there’d be a loose connection in message, like it was with the murder of Dewain in the last book. This one surprised me because it was so off course.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I thought the same, Jonetta. I figured that it was a separate little mystery that Kim would solve. I figured there would be some sort of hidden message/comparison for the reader, but I didn't think that it would actually tie to the prime mystery in the book.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I thought it was Tracy throwing down the gauntlet. Like she was saying, everyone thinks you're so good, but this guy is still a Bob Doe on a slab in the morgue.

I didn't connect it to the current case. For me, it showed that Kim can't rest until she solves a case no matter how long it takes. I was surprised when it all came together.
