I think you might be thinking of The Fionavar Tapestry series by Guy Gavriel KayPlotwise it matches your description almost exactly, but there are a couple of elements that don't match up with what you described. This is a three-book series, with each book 300+ pages.
Here is Wikipedia's plot summaries - with Spoilers - of Jeremy's suggestion: The Fionavar Tapestry series by Guy Gavriel Kay:

Yes, this is the one I was looking for. I downloaded at Kindle and read a few chapters. Man, this is a difficult read, especially when it's not in your original language.Thank you both for answers. Now I must go read the rest :D.
Great. Glad you found your book series, Alexandros. Here's the link for the first book - The Summer Tree by Guy Gavriel Kay.

The plot goes like this, a group of people (YA not kids), was somehow transferred into a different world/universe. There, there were gods and demigods fighting each other, with magic and all. The gods were supposed to be very bright at their appearance. The group was then dragged into a war, in order to escape and return back.
One little detail I remember is, one of the guys from group got separated from the others, during the transfer. He landed in a forest, where he met the goddess of hunting, or something, whom not only allowed him to see her, but also slept with him. This changed him somehow.
Another thing, I think the portal where they transferred from, was Stonehenge and those people were old friends, but got separated over the years and decided to meet there. This could well be from a different book I've read and mixed them together, so....
The book, as I remember it, was somewhat small, page wise, and had a green cover.
Thank you for your time and I'm sorry for the vague information, but as I said it's been some time since I read it.
