The story begins with Jemima’s brutal murder. Did it give you any insight about the victim and/or the murderer?

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) It's interesting when you have finished the book going back and re-reading it with fresh eyes.

The Prologue gave a hint that there was going to be a very damaged person involved although at this stage we didn't know whether it was the perpetrator or one of the victims. And in Chapter 2 when the reader relives Jemima's chilling murder it seems to be a revenge crime of some sort. And a reversal of power. The killer was known to Jemima who had a grievance with her.

All I could tell really was that it was personal. She wasn’t a random murder. And, she knew her killer.

Lisa, I got a whiff of revenge here, too.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I felt the need for revenge from the start. The murder was so brutal that I knew it was payback in the most brutal and sadistic way.
