Yeah, you need to sign up for the sale through storyorigin with the book links. As long as it will be published (or on preorder) by the sale date you should be able to join :) But let me know if you have trouble with it and I can help out.

A question: as Kindle Countdown deals are only for Amazon US and UK, does that mean I'd have to manually set the price down for the rest of the world?
That would be great, yeah. I don't have experience with kindle countdown deals because I'm wide/not in select so I always have to do it manually, but yes, ideally if you can make it work in the rest of the locations manually that would be great.(worst case scenario if you can only get it to be on sale for us/uk that's fine we'd rather have you join in the sale than not!)
Thanks for the answer, I'll be looking into the options when I have a bit of spare time.EDIT: I've set up a KCD for Amazon US at $0.99 and for Amazon UK at 0.99 GBP (won't let me go lower than that) starting at midnight 8th end ending at midnight 15th, both in their respective timezones.
I've set up StoryOrigin account and submitted, hopefully it all works out.
