Ok, I don't think I can take any more for the team, lol. This was bad. I think this author is going on the do-not-read list because by book four, this should've gotten better, but I feel like it's getting worse.

I read that in a review. It was someone who was reading because her friend loves the series and she said she thought maybe this couple would be better since the FMC was a Dr. She said it was even worse. That’s when I decided not to go forward and I definitely won’t be reading anything else by her. I’ll tell you an author that writes great smutty romantic suspense is Megan March. I absolutely love her books.

I just read Dirty Billionaire by her last week I think. I need to read the next one soon. It was pretty good!

That’s probably my least favorite series. Read the ones set in New Orleans. There’s the Beneath Series and I think it has like 7 books and each book is a standalone. Then there are several other trilogy’s and duets that spin off and are set there. Most of her world is interconnected. The Devil series is good too. I mean, it’s not realistic literature but they are well written for smut. 😂

Ch.1-7 (view spoiler)[ i'm glad Talon is going to talk to his family but it feels kind of drawn out to not even tell his brothers the full story and then tell Marj less? Jade is being wicked needy for someone who didn't like her mom 2 days before the book starts. the best though, what cop is doing a missing persons investigation and talks to a possible suspect then asks her out for drinks?! bananas. this town is bananas. Through Ch.29 (view spoiler)[ I’m so glad Talon finally told her but I feel like with the build up I kinda wanted more? I don’t know what that would look like but it felt like it was such a big thing for him to share and it is really difficult news to hear and it just happened in like 5 pages. I forgot to add my final post, which is a clear decision to stop the series. sorry team, i just couldn't continue. i finished this last book and honestly it could've been 4 chapters (2 per POV, if necessary) in the next book. i no longer care lol

I tried with the next book, and it was worse. There were no answers at all which is really frustrating. Not to mention, she really made the Dr. stupid which made it even worse.

You now are where we all were after reading three books lol
