Stargazer wrote: "The Eagle of the Ninth by Rosemary Sutcliff is about Romans in Britain. :)"I was thinking the same thing.
Twice Freed by Patricia St. John takes place in Rome and Greece.

Not traditionally published, but did you ever read Chasing the Lion by Nancy Kimball? Sssooooo good.

Kind of random question, but I’m writing a dystopian set in America in the undetermined future and I need help naming a slave labor camp that is somewhere in the New England area. Anyone got any ideas?

Just making sure everyone got it so we can all be praying for her prayer request. I get it, but I'm in some groups that I'm not signed up for the author's newsletter, so I was double checking everyone on here got it.

*runs in screaming* YOU GUYYYYS!!! I just had the best birthday in history!!! For my birthday MY SISTERS BOUGHT ME THE WHOLE ILYON CHRONICLES IN PAPER BACK!!! *dies* I had only read them on kindle and I really wanted to own the paperbacks (I don't know about you, but whenever I read an amazing book I always want to own the real physical copy). They look B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L on my shelf and I am so incredibly HAPPY!!!!! *cries happy tears* *hugs all the lovely books*

I figured it out but I don't know if Jaye would mind me doing it or not... I think she's invited us to do more of our own stuff on here, but I feel weird about it. :P The poll I have an idea for is what we're all looking forward to most about DH, and I don't know if that would inspire her or discourage her and I def don't want to discourage her. Also it might have spoilers for previous books.

I don't think she'd mind, I just always feel like asking and going above the call of duty to obey rules, but that's a me thing. I know that she has control of the group settings and I'm pretty sure she could have made it so no one could create a poll, but obviously we can. I love the poll! Great idea!

Oh! Okay, I didn't remember that. There was one about which book is your favorite but it timed out so I just did a new one. And tried out the invite button.... Hopefully those 26 people won't mind. XD I'm pretty sure they're all in the group. XD

So I found a Hunger Games simulator a while back, and today, just for the lols, I decided to throw some of our favorite Ilyon characters in it. So far, Timothy’s killed both Richard and Emperor Dacian, Jace sprained his ankle running away from Queen Solora then died in an explosion from Anne, and Falcor and King Balen held hands.

If Jace was in a hunger games arena, he and Karin would make it out alive. They would’ve waited til the last person and done the Peeta and katniss nightlock berry thing. I was just thinking about this last night and scheming in my head. Lol simulators are funny

It was meant to be! 😂Dacian also tried to kill Collin, then held hands with him. Also, Dacian, Daniel, and Trask cheerfully sang songs around a fire together.
*Comes back after a week of no internet**This is the first thing I see*
Me: Whaaaaaaa happened ? ? ?
XD XD XD
Timothy is so out of character and poor poor Jace.
Pretty random, but do you guys remember in Resistance when it's only Kyrin's second time hunting with Jace and he teaches her how to walk quietly? Well now I ALWAYS walk how he told her to walk whenever I'm trying to walk quietly. And it really does make you quieter! Now I walk that way all the time. Does anyone else do this or am I the only one?? XD

😆 I tried it, and I didn’t notice a difference in thick soles shoes. You have to remember that they are wearing leather boots. Real medieval leather boots are thin soled. Thin soles make your foot falls quieter. At least, that’s what I figured out.

I do but I have thick sole shoes and it can work even with thick soles if you walk slower and more carefully.

Haha! Well I've actually only done it barefoot (I'm always barefoot when I'm home) But seriously I was just doing it this morning AND last night!(Yes, I like sneaking around my house as quiet as possible) I've also done it in sandals and it worked quite well. I just know that if I'm walking like that while barefoot I can almost be completely silent. And it's great for someone who loves trying to be an elf. ;-)

@Jordan: Yes, their medieval boots are thinner and softer, and that would definitely make a difference. I want to buy a pair of them soooo bad!

Wow, 2020 pretty much knocked me flat on my face. I can’t believe how long it’s been since I checked in here. BUT I am still alive. :P and reading some of the comments I’ve missed got me hyped to write. :D

Merry Christmas!!! Hope you guys have a blessed and joyful Christmas! I have some family from out of town and I'm thrilled to be able to spend some time with them! God bless you and have a wonderful week <3 ^_^

The last three suggestions are on Rome during/after the fall of Jerusalem, ASDoB is during Jesus’ ministry and is set in both Rome and Jerusalem, and the Kimball ones are both several years after the fall of Jerusalem.
