Best cover yet! Huge fan of the dark ice-blue. I'm excited about this book.

SO EXCITED!!!!! The best unexpected surprise. ;)
I LOVE THEM!SO EXCITED.
Beautiful. <3
This looks like the sequel to Tyra. ;)
Also, Lord willing, I am sending allll my Illyon books with someone to Realm Makers for you to sign. :D
Now, a silence falls because everyone is holding their breath, waiting for "Bitter Winter."I might go over to the speculation thread, now. I'm thinking there will be character death, and I want to be able to say I called it. ;)
A.L. wrote: "Now, a silence falls because everyone is holding their breath, waiting for "Bitter Winter.""^ Yes. XD I'm so excited!!! :D
I've heard October rumors, but I think she's keeping it flexible at the moment so she can do all the things. :)
Seeing Jace and the others nominated for the Silmarli Awards is making me more even more eager for Bitter Winter. :)
Jace, Rayad, and Gem are finalists! Go vote for them! :Dhttp://www.silmarilawards.com/2018-aw...
Jace for Most Epic Hero, Rayad for Wisest Counselor, Gem for Most Magnificent Dragon
I know! But I have so many other favorites that are also finalists that I'm SO torn. My little brother couldn't get over my choosing Rayad over Halt from the Ranger Apprentice books. :P
All the voting. SO hard. But I'm so excited there are some Indie book characters and Ilyon and Goldstone Wood etc.! :D
Stargazer wrote: "Yay!@Karis: let your little brother vote. :)"
That's a great idea! I'll nab him later today and let him at it. ;)
Happy releeease daay! *sing-song voice*The second-to-LAST Ilyon book has been released into the wild people! O_O Are we excited? Scared? Excited? Bouncing up and down? EXCITED?????? WOOO! !
I remember when the first one came out, and here we are approaching the end. o_o I had have never had the privilege of reading a series as it released before this one--they always finish before I'm on the second to last or something or I popped in when there were already two out--so this has been a fun journey for me so far. :)
May your favorite character not die, and let's all head on over to the Amazon e-river to order book 5!
I also have one question for anyone who knows: Must Lacey be read after Bitter Winter or could I read it first? I'm assuming it has to be after, but I'm curious. :)
Lacy is best read after Bitter Winter. I takes place just after, and does contain some spoilers for its ending.

:O :O :O
Also: I have to ask: does anybody else love Bitter Winter more than all the other books in the series so far?? or am I entirely alone here??? I NEED TO FANGIRL WITH PEOPLE
I'm still waiting to read Bitter Winter. I'm 95% certain one (or two) of my brothers is getting me it for Christmas, but 80% sure it's not actually arrived yet.But that title. I like it.

It's so so good :D :D
So curious. If you could go to Ilyon (and I mean who hasn’t at least dreamed of it??), would you want to go as your human self, or go as a different race? I’d want to be part ryrik, because a) I’m tall, b) ryriks are amazing, and c) I’d be less likely to die. Also, what would be your weapon of choice? I’d go with bow and sword (though I’d probably stab myself somewhere with the sword).
I might want to go as a ryrik or part ryrik just so I could go, “What up, Jace, there actually are good ones of us around.” Especially if I was going before SP or Exiles. I agree with the sword thing. I’d definitely stab myself with one of those. I’d probably take a ready wit as my weapon of choice. (“You don’t believe in Aertus and Vilai?” “I don’t believe the moons exist, no.” “Wait, you don’t believe in the actual moons in the sky?” “WHAT MOONS?”
I'd go as a crete or part-crete, 'cause 1. I'm short, 2. dragons, and 3. Me live-y in a tree!As for weapon, I'll go for a staff.
I have no idea. I guess I'd like to be a Crete (I be a short dragon lover, buuut I hate heights). Or maybe a Talcrin (BOOKS). Or a Ryrik, cuz I don't want to die right away (if I ended up in the middle of a forest with no help, I'd be screwed). Being a Dorlander would be cool, cuz giants.
But I don't really fit with any of the race profiles...guess I'd just be a weird human? :P
If I was going in with a gamer mindset, I'd like to be either a Talcrin with an odd propensity towards studying combat methods, or an unusually quiet/serene Ryrik.
Weapons? Anything and everything is a weapon, even if you don't know what its intended purpose is. XP
I wanna be a crete when I grow up. :D Bow and arrows and sword. ;) I live-y in tree next to you Kendra!@Merenwen: SPOONS. Spoons are a weapon. Hmm, a quiet/serene Ryrik would be fun!
@Addyson: It would be weird to have two moons at night. o.o I mean, I'd probably stab myself with my sword too. :P We could get Marcus to teach us how to use them.
@Janice: "Less likely to die" <-- XD XD XD Exactly. XD I'll just hide up a tree. You protect us.
Also, I want to know why there are posts from May 2018 at the top of this page... What is wrong with us. XD
Should we be worried that Jaye just read this book about writing emotional layers? https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
Is she gearing up for something? *makes suspicious faces*

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Happy Birthday Jaye! This is the first series I've followed as it's coming out, too, Stargazer. It's very exciting.
And speaking of that...do we have a date on DH yet?
BIRTHDAY HAPPY, JAYE!!!!There are so many people I wouldn't have met, if not for you, not to mention so many great books I wouldn't have read!
Anybody have any book recommendations for fiction books about Ancient Rome? I just finished the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers and I really love that period of history and want to read more now. I also really loved From the Dark to the Dawn by Alicia Willis. I’d prefer traditionally published book recommendations because those are way more likely to be in my library system. I’m in college and can’t afford to buy many books.

It's not set IN ROME, but it is about Ancient Romans. It's one of my favorite romances. :D
