*than. (ThEn tells whEn, thAn is for comparisAn.)I have had coworkers tell me that. Some downright hated me for the ceiling quip.
Guys, I'm doing my first Goodreads giveaway right now. I'm excited about how it's going, even though I'm a little freaked out about total strangers getting my books. Tell me not to be scared of one and two star reviews!Sorry. I don't know how to think positive about book promotion.
Okaaaaaaaay . . . free books . . . where do I sign up!?!?! No seriously, can I have a link? :) And don't be afraid of negative reviews! It's all part of the process. Unfortunately, not everyone is going to LOVE your book. (which really kinda sticks.) :P But if you read through reviews of other books, for everyone one negative review, there is four 5 star reviews. :)
Don't be scared of the two-star reviews. Be better than the two-star reviews. There are one- and two-star reviews on Tolkien and C. S. Lewis' books, and I'm sure you can't be better than them, so just take it in stride. Readers are picky things and you can't please all of them.
Sarah Grace, may the odds be ever in your favor. I just thought it might look kind of sad if my only reviews were really low. I haven't got any yet, so if I get anything from this giveaway, they'll be the only ones for a while, at least.
Very cool! yeah don't be afraid of the two star (or no star) review! I'm sure you did a good job on your book
Last night my mom, nana (grandma) and sisters and I were on a mission: to shop till we dropped, or until we found shoes for my cousin's wedding this weekend. Whichever came first. Thankfully, the later did, although the former wasn't far behind. ;)
Not necessarily, and my sisters and I aren't even IN the wedding, but we had very specific specifications. :P
A friend of mine got married recently and had trouble finding shoes. The trouble was height. She's almost as tall as her husband, and the groomsmen were short too, so she had to wear flat shoes.
@Marrok: No, black wouldn't go, and white would be too summery. :\@Brie, Ah, yeah, I see the problem there. ;)
When I had to look for specific shoes for my cousin's wedding, it was so difficult!! AHHH!!!!! Auditions for my school's musical start tomorrow!!!! I'm so excited!!!
I didn't mess up my audition too bad!!! I just messed up a line XD The line was supposed to say "We need his help. You don't know my mother. She could really screw it up."
But I said, right on the spot, "You don't know my mother. We need his help! My mom can screw everything up!"
I did it right!! I kept going! But I was internally screaming. XD
Thank you!! Now I sit through auditions tomorrow (I'll help whoever doesn't have an audition partner), anxiously wait though call backs (not good or bad if you get one), see Sound of Music (TRAVELING BROADWAY!!!!!!!) and then cast list Friday!!! This is by far the most stressful week of my life! XD
Eeeek! How exciting!!!! And good for your finishing strong! As a fellow performer, when you mess up, I know it's hard to not get rattled and just keep going. Good job! :)
Hey guys, happy New Year. Remember to pray for all the people defending the unborn today. For those that are in DC and the other big cities, and little university towns like mine.My family actually initiated and organized a rally on our town square. That's kind of crazy, because we don't usually do things like that. But somebody had to.
We have to keep speaking for the voiceless!

So true A.L.! Thanks for the reminder. Kudos to you and your family for starting that!

Amen!
Thanks for the support! It went well, despite the the wind and bitter cold. A lot of people seemed really glad to see us out on there.
Blue is Jaye's favorite color, so I thought it was fitting.Things have been too quiet over here. Thought I'd post something.
*waves hand over blue cake to make it gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, allergen free, packed with nutrients, easy on teeth and digestion, and still amazingly delicious**starts eating a piece of blue cake*
*It was already a magic cake that would automatically change to fit a person's dietary restraints AND be their favorite flavor when they took a piece.*
Also, are we ever going to get the characters back to Jaye? Because I really don't want them all to disappear....
So Dacian, Kaden, Leetra, and Tyra are currently stuck at Amanda's house eating pizza. Nothing for it but to have one of us collect them on our way to Jaye's. If something came up and Amanda and Gabriela can't personally escort them, we must do our best to ensure they are returned safely to Ilyon within the month. Whose route will take them closest to Amanda's house?
Or we could arrange for their characters to fly to the nearest airport...
