I know this is for Ilyon mostly but I have to add the Elf brothers from Makilien for like two seconds. Imagine Elandir and Elmorhirian trying to put up a Christmas tree and struggle with the topper.*I happily watch as the tree crashes to the ground, taking the brothers down with it* *Sirion, Makilien, Aedan, and Vonawyn sigh from upstairs as they hear the crash*
Oh and hi fellow newcomer! Welcome!!
MEEEERRRY CHRISTMAS!!! (A little early in my timezone, but hey, I don't know when I'll be on tomorrow.)
Happy Christmas! :D it's so warm outside today, where I am. *is jealous of those who are having a white Christmas*
IKR?? It's 60 something here!! Last night I was saying that it felt like summer with 60 degree weather, and the sun shining...
It is 80 here! :-( Merry Christmas! Here is my Christmas blog post: https://aheartredeemed.wordpress.com/...!!!
It was like 84 here today. Here being Florida. But unfortunately this hasn't been sudden this year. :( It's been so warm all December...
Yeah, it is rather warm... 74 here... :P I like warm though, and once upon a time I had a white Christmas which is more then any Texan deserves, so I'm happy. :DTHE KING'S SCROLLS IS SO PRETTY!!!! And it's smaller then I thought. o.o
I heard some people say there was some parts in the book that weren't in the PDFs/ARCs, but then someone said that wasn't the case, so if there IS a missing bit, can somebody please tell me what page it's on? :) And if there isn't, then at least I'll know I didn't miss anything the first time. :)
*gives everyone virtual hugs*
I don't think there's anything extra/missing...at least, if there is, I didn't notice. And I can't remember who wanted to hear me sing, but whoever it was, here. Have at it. Silent Night (with...apparently a partially modified second verse? Didn't know there were multiple versions of that verse...) and the first verse of my favorite song in my church's Christmas musical this year, "When She Looks at Jesus." https://goo.gl/photos/MNMSNqdJoP7U37tM9
We finally got some snow! ^.^ Our first white Christmas in at least two years. :D *tosses snow around the people without*
Uhhh... Yes! At least since the summer time.To think, I've only known about the Ilyon Chronicles since May.
Happy New Year everyone!!! I pray it's a wonderful one for you all, and that God blesses you all the way.Hopefully Samara’s Peril comes out this year, right?! :D We shall see... :D
Happy New Year! And Merry Christmas! (Yep, I really behind;)I can't wait till Samara's Peril releases!!!!!! :D
Calling all people who would like to review a book for free!I have a friend who needs 20 reviews her one of her books on goodreads by January 22 so that she can enter a contest (there are 9 reviews already).
The book is Prince of Demargen, it's the sequel to a retelling of the Snow Queen. (Think of it more like a sequel to Frozen that's about Hans if Hans wasn't totally bad.)
Reasons you might be interested:
-The hero, Hess, is REALLY loveable, he's not as cool as Jace (obviously) but he's got some of those epic torn-apart qualities.
-It has some Christian things threaded neatly through it.
-Some of it is HILARIOUS.
-It's a really cool and fun adventure story.
-It's a chance to help out a super nice homeschooled Christian author lady.
-You get a free PDF of a book Stargazer thinks is really good.
The only fine print: It's really long (over 100k words) and the review has to be up by the 22nd.
So if you want to you can goodreads message E. Kaiser Writes with a subject something along the lines of "I'll read PoD" with your email address and ask for the PDF. :)
Or if you know anyone who might like to, pass it along. :)
I don't think that should matter. You could ask her for a brief summary of what Hess did in the first two books. There's really only two things you'd need to know, and they might even be dropped well enough in this one that you wouldn't have to know anything about the first two. Other then that I think it should stand well on it's own. :)
Prince of Demargen was really long? I didn't even notice . . .Also, regarding whether or not you've read the first two: said first two are essentially a Frozen retelling. Hess is basically Prince Hans, slightly modified. So, as long as you know Frozen, you're fine (though asking for a summary of the previous two books or at least Hess's actions in them wouldn't be a bad idea, if you want to be doubly sure).
Has anyone else read the latest newsletter?Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! :D :'< :D O_O
I want to give Jace a hug and some food... ;)
