That's why we don't go. Beside we have an enormous screen at home, comfier chairs, we can pause whenever we want. It's great. Though seeing Courageous at the movies was great. It seemed like everyone knew someone else who was there. We actually had to be asked to move out so they could clean for the next move. It was funny.
We go at bargain showings, so it's only $5.75. But even that's not cheap. Especially when you watch Leave it to Beaver and see them going for like a nickel.
Yes, you must, Morgan! Drive-ins are awesome. :D Ours is like 20 minutes away, and we don't go often, but sometimes there's a cool movie to see... >:D It's also cool when BOTH the ones they're showing are ones you want to see and you stay for both. Like, I saw Catching Fire and Thor 2 the same night (though it had gotten foggy out so I could hardly see the facial expressions in the latter. XD).
I saw Brave and Avengers 1 when my cousins stayed at my house for a weekend. But Avengers didn't start till at least midnight and I was only ten maybe, so I fell asleep THE WHOLE MOVIE!But totally fun!

My brothers and I participate in buckskinners rendezvous. There are reenactors for the early 1700s to early 1800s. Basically the fur trade era. We do 1770s/Revolutionary War. It's a blast. I have another one coming up next week. It'll be the first time I've gone to more than one a year.
Anyway, I've created a new thread, the Fangirl Asylum. XD https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... Feel free to take your craziness and silliness there. ;) *whispers* There's glitter...

Hey, who's seen Jaye's new Website look?? It's AWESOME. I mean I loved the old one, but this is just as awesome if not more so!! And her logo!!! A Jay with a pen!!! :D I LOVE IT! (Also, am I the only one who thinks the top of the bird's head looks LITTLE bit like a wolf? Tyra maybe? :D)

THAT IS SO COOL!! <3
I knooooow! So much pwetty!!! ^___^ *huggles new site and blog design and logo* Green is my favorite color but blues just make me HAPPY. They are nice to look at. *nods philosophically*
:D I'm actually thinking of using Blue Jay(e) as my rendezvous name. All rendezvousers have a camp name. ;)
I won't be able to read replies or anything until Monday, but I got this idea, and I have to ask.How would you rabid fans like to collaborate and do some Ilyon fanfic...
...in which the characters from Ilyon start popping up in the real world and must get to Jaye if they want to return to Ilyon (sort of like the Fat Albert movie)? Oh, and there’s some odd magic involved that makes the characters pop up near fan girls... :D
Like, maybe make a thread (in Off Topic), have someone write a long(ish) post to set it up, and then everyone can go back and forth with a couple sentences/paragraphs to continue the story.
I leave you now with these thoughts (muahahhahaha...). ;)
Oh, and a clip of the Fat Albert movie.

That'd be awesome! I call Jace (please show up by me, Jace!!), but I could settle with Marcus, Liam, Tyra, yeah, pretty much anyone!
That's such a cool idea, Merenwen!And before I forget...
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAYE!
You are a wonderful lady, and such a big role model in so many of our lives. Thank you so much for your quality books, and your encouragement and support for all of us fangirls in our different pursuits. You are absolutely splendid, and such a blessing. ;) Thank you for everything.

THAT IS AN AMAZING IDEA!!!!!! I want Daniel. And Talas. *huggles them and makes hissing noises at all the other people who might want them*
Oh, happy birthday Jaye!!!! *gives you a black glitter cake or pie, whichever you prefer*

I like this idea. I wouldn't quite call myself a rabid fan. I'm perfectly sane.
To expand on that idea, what if it were multiple fan fics woven together - that is, it's all one story, but multiple POVs - so each person's post wouldn't necessarily continue the storyline of the previous one, but might start the story of a different character. One or two or three people could work on each character and POV. Or we could tell the story from our own POV - for instance, seeing someone in Walmart that looked eerily like Jace and not being able to resist a word with him even though we know everyone would think we're silly for thinking a stranger looks like a story character - and then finding out it IS Jace, and all the ups and downs until Jace meets Kaden, whom another fan girl met with at church one day.... At which point the Jace story and Kaden story would intersect, and so forth until all fan girls and characters ended up with Jaye...or not, as the case may be...
Or something like that. Just random ideas.
Well, guys, I have furiously, passionately recommended Resistance to Cait on the recent post...nevermind a few days late. Whoops. http://paperfury.com/10-books-humans-...
Also, I note that Kendra has done so as well. YES. COLLABORATION. *rubs hands together* Now let's see if I find anyone else...EDIT: Alea, too! YAY!
So... I'm just now getting to see Samara's Peril's (that sounds funny saying it aloud) and I LOVE IT!!!
Amanda wrote: "Also, I note that Kendra has done so as well. YES. COLLABORATION. *rubs hands together* Now let's see if I find anyone else...EDIT: Alea, too! YAY!"
Yep, yep I did. She was asking for recommendations, and what was a loyal little member of the Resistance to do?
And I really like the idea of the fanfic thing. I call Davira. I don't know why, but I think she'd be an interesting character to have to put up with. And I'm used to maniacal females in my own writing, so ... maybe I'll be able to keep her under control. Maybe????
I HAVE HALF BLOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S SO CUTE AND LITTLE AND BEAUTIFUL AND EPIC LOOKING AND IT'S GOING TO CRUSH MY HEAR BUT I AM SO EXCITED! WOOHOO! :D And this is my 1 year anniversary of being a Ilyon fan!Sorry. Had to tell y'all. ;)
@Stargazer Half-Blood is AMAZING!! I cried so much but the tears are SO worth it. I loved learning more about Jace's history!
@Stargazer, ah, soo cool!! I wish I had a copy of Half-Blood for my shelf! I have paperback copies of Resistance and The King's Scrolls, but no Half-Blood yet, :(Say, is anyone dying for Samara's Peril yet? I am so, so excited to read it!!! Especially after seeing the epic cover! :D My brother just started reading the series, and that's really making me miss it!! Like, ah, it's sooo good and I really want to see where the story takes Jace and Kyrin next!!! <3
*Ahem* Just had to get that all out. Missing Ilyon ...
@Shantelle: I know, right? We NEED another Ilyon book. Come on, even the first draft would be lovely...I miss it. So so much. SP is going to be awesome. And I really want the paperbacks of ALL THE BOOKS.@Gabs: You're amazing too! :D Jut gotta get the credit card thing and billing squared away...you know, cuz it's not my account.
Ah, looks like we're all missing it!! ^_^ Or at least me, Gabriela, and Amanda are! :D I agree! Samara's Peril sounds like it's going to be amazing!! Can't wait! Soon-ish, Jaye? ;)Oh, I know! I'm so excited to see this whole lovely series lined up on my bookshelf one day! <3
Yes it would be lovely to have them all lined up on my shelf. I actually have both Resistance and The Kings Scrolls out from the library at the moment. It's actually because of the trailer competition. I couldn't get them both out the same week as Resistance was checked out. Which is great. It's horrible to see them sitting on the shelf.
Firefly said: I want Daniel. And Talas. *huggles them and makes hissing noises at all the other people who might want them*Oookay, I guess Daniel and Talas are taken care of...
Though this raises the question: Are we going to include the dragons? ;)
@Bria: lol. Sane people can participate, too. :D
@Kendra: I'm pretty sure that no one else wants Davira (though yes, she would be an interesting to put up with), so that sounds good to me. :)
Oh, and let's assume that we can take planes, drive, and otherwise do all that is necessary to return the characters to Jaye. ;)
The multiple POV sounds cool. But that would require multiple threads, and I know that I would probably get confused...would anyone else??
BTW, I'm compiling a list of the good guys (unless someone else wants the bad guys?) whose locations are yet to be decided, and those who have been claimed.
I think multiple POVs could be in the same thread. I agree that multiple threads would be confusing. Just post your Jace story, and the next person post their Kaden story, and the next post their Davira story, and the first person go back to the Jace story....I've been trying to decide ever since you first came up with the idea who I wanted...really anyone would be interesting. It would almost be better if it were random.... :) more fun. :) I'll see.

I like going to the movies, just not the expensive ticket part....
