Major Book Elimination Game
Hey everyone! So you might have seen and maybe played this game in many groups, but here, this comes with a twist and it's all the more interesting. How? Read below:-

This Book Elimination game will be organised each month and will be based on a theme. To be a participant you will need to sign up, but first let's know about next month's theme and how this game will work.

February Theme: Best Books of 2020

Books to be entered are according to the theme of the month.
February Theme is Best books of 2020 so books which are allowed to be entered should have been published in the year 2020.

How the game works:-
The game will be of four Rounds, each conducted for a week.
General:-
A member can sign up to be a participant for 4 rounds.
A member signing up to be a participant in the game may specify how many rounds he/she wants to be in.
A separate thread will be created for this process and the link for the same would be posted here.

Round 1 (February 1- February 7)
Rules/How to Play:-

1. A participant is going to enter book(s).
2. Each book entered starts with 50 points.
3. Other participants and non-participants can upvote or downvote the book (s) in the list. Each upvote or downvote is of 10 points.
4. Each participant is allowed to enter 5 books in all ( in Round 1). The only restriction is that there can't be more than 15 books at a time in the list. In case, the list exceeds 15 the book with the lowest number of points gets automatically eliminated. This can be done by the next person who's posting or the Mod will do it.
5. If a book in the list gets below 20 points, it gets eliminated. It can be entered again, though, starting again with 50 points. If the same participant enters a book twice ,it will be counted as individual book that is, it would be counted as 2 books and not one.
6. A non participant cannot enter books, but upvote or downvote the books in the list.

Round 2 ( February 8- February 14)
Rules/How to Play:-

Out of 15 books, 10 books from the list with the highest number of points will enter the Round 2.
The books eliminated in Round 1 can't be entered again in any of the further rounds. This doesn't include the books eliminated within the Round 1, only those 5 books which have been eliminated finally from the list of 15 books.
1. The books can be entered but each participant is allowed to enter 4 books in all.
2. The list cannot exceed 15 books.
3. Books can be upvoted or downvoted by anyone, each by 10 points.
All other rules remain same.

Round 3 ( February 15- February 21)
Rules/How to Play

Out of 15 books, 8 books with highest number of points will enter round 3. Again, the books finally eliminated that is, 6 books can't be entered again in further rounds.
1. Each participant is allowed to enter 2 books only.
2. The list cannot exceed 12 books.
3.Books can be upvoted or downvoted by anyone, each by 10 points.
All other rules remain same.

Round 4 (February 21- February 28)
Rules/How to Play

This is the final round and out of 12 books, 6 books will enter this round. 6 books eliminated in last round cannot be entered again.
1. Each participant is allowed to enter 2 books.
2. The list cannot exceed 8 books at a time.
3.Books can be upvoted or downvoted by anyone, each by 10 points.
All other rules remain same.

Out of 8 books, 3 books with highest points will emerge as best books of 2020.

*Rules are subject to change according to the circumstances.*
