Thank you so much! I didn't really know what to put as genre haha sorry about that.
Glad you found your book, Saish. Here's the Goodreads link for Sue's find - From the Corner of His Eye by Dean Koontz.
[Spoiler ahead... and TW: short mention of r*pe]
It's about a little boy who was born gifted. He knew how to walk, read and talk way earlier than normal. When he is around 3 years old he gets some kind of eye illness, and gets his eyes surgically removed. He gets artificial cristal eyes.
A few years later he can suddenly see.
At some point he befriends a girl, I think they are neighbours. And they both can see and hear other alternative universes.
Within the first few chapters there's one adult male character (the antagonist) who is a doctor, maybe a gynecologist, and he rapes one of his female patients. He goes on a hiking trip with his wife (newly weds) and he pushes her over a railing from top of a lighthouse, maybe? When he sees that she is dead he starts vomiting.
There's an investigation and again is mentioned that he vomits whenever he thinks about the murder. The detective (¿?) has this habit of fidgeting a coin between his fingers, this coin can disappear and later it's discovered that the detective can send things to alternative universes.
The antagonist knows somehow that there's a kid who will be his doom, and so he starts searching for him (the "blind" kid, main character of the book).
