Cornwell not letting us in on the battle plan but it sure doesn't look good atm. Pacing is really picking up as well.

Good battle scene, although the surprise Uhtred planned wasn't all that unique. Still a satisfying conclusion to the series.

I've just arrived in Mameceaster, with fugitives coming out of Cumbria and talking about a great Scottish army. Looks like Anlaf is with them, but as yet unconfirmed.

No idea where Aethelstan is right at this moment.

I just discovered the Scots being ferried down the coast. Waiting for Eadric to scout out how many.
