I loved The Princess Bride movie growing up and I finally read the book about 10 years ago... and I absolutely hated the book! 🤣 in my mind since I’d seen the movie first that’s the preferred version

Diane, please correct me if im wrong but i thought they were both panthers..it has been a while since i read it though
According to Wikipedia, the genus panther includes tigers, lions, leopards, jaguars, and snow leopards... so that might work, I think
Hmmm. I'll have to ask about that one! I don't know enough to know for certain.I'll ask in the captains group and let you know.
Gwen wrote: "According to Wikipedia, the genus panther includes tigers, lions, leopards, jaguars, and snow leopards... so that might work, I think"Well i didnt know that ..you learn something new every day .
Sorry Diane for butting in on your book pick

I'd have thought the same thing! I went down the rabbit hole of Google as to panthers vs. leopards and got more confused than ever.
So now just waiting on the mods to weigh in!
Yeah, thanks for stirring it up Janeylou!!! I have always thought they were fairly interchangeable, panther, leopard and jaguar. Will wait to hear the ruling.
It has been ruled as OK!!!I did learn that panthers can refer to either jaguars or leopards depending on the region. So technically it might not be a leopard but a jaguar....but by the time someone came in with that clarification, the mod had already ruled it OK, so it is now considered a gift panther! ;-)
I waited a little longer to come back here in case that changed the ruling, but it is indeed still allowed!
Whoops, just realized I had a formatting error on this post so some were crossed out when they shouldn't have been. It's fixed now!

Great news
Can you find out whether we have to find the words 'rags to riches' in the description somewhere for #17, or whether it would work if it is called a 'Cinderella' story?

MINI challenge #30 read a book with the word Dance in it.
I'm currently reading a book that will fit #43 - the main character is an only child AND the book is the first in a series:Truly Devious
It's also the remaining blue cover book. I will finish it maybe tonight, but definitely by tomorrow...
I think I will read Cinderellis next which I was thinking for Rags to Riches (#17), but it also has a guitar on the cover, so whichever works.

# 35 Read a book with at least 2 men on the cover
Diane wrote: "I think I will read Cinderellis next which I was thinking for Rags to Riches (#17), but it also has a guitar on the cover, so whichever works."I'm going to put it down for #17 for now, as I think guitar on the cover might be easier to cover later. I'm pretty sure I have a book that will fit that, but the ebook edition doesn't have the guitar on the cover, so I have to go dig through my bookselves later!
Gwen, I'll mark you down for #43!
And I'll officially mark myself down for Eclipse I suppose... haha.
Updated unclaimed task list:3. Read a book where a character is a god / with MPG or top shelf "Mythology"
13. Read a book where a character from a book ends up in real life or where a real life character gets transported into a book
18. Read a book with diamond jewellery on the cover
23. Read a book where a character has permed hair/gets their hair permed (extra 5 points for if you find "hair like Meg Ryan's" in the text ;)
36. Read a book with MPG Travel
If one of these was claimed but I missed it, please feel free to correct me!
Also, we received additional clarification that the "hair like Meg Ryan" bonus point reference can be in any task. It doesn't have to be one where someone has a perm.
Edited to remove newly claimed tasks
Diane wrote: "I am looking at doing #3 -- Gods/Mythology"I looked at that one Diane ..then quickly shook my head 😄😄😄
I found 2 options I thought were readable and I am planning to read the one that is on Kindle Unlimited. Not gonna spend any money! 😄

I also just realized I have ANOTHER book with a pink dress on the cover in my TBR (and here I thought that'd be hard to accomplish) so I think I'm going to move the book I just finished for #16 over the #45 since it was set in California. I'll use the other book for #16.

38. Read a book with the word "eclipse" in the title / an eclipse depicted on the cover
...I can read Eclipse. But if someone else wants this one, please feel free to take it! :-P (I actually don't mind this series in general as it's one of my guilty pleasures, but this is my least favorite of the series).
