Heir of Fire - Starts 15th January (Devika, Johanna & Aarja)

I finished it yesterday night (view spoiler)[ I am gonna give it 5 stars. I love Manon too, she has a good personality. My top three favorite characters would be Manon, Aedion, and Dorian. I would've included Sorscha too, but she just died😭

I agree with everything you two said.

I'm so glad Aedion(he didn't die, did he?) and Dorian didn't die. But they are kinda like slaves now, so they can't do anything. So now Chaol is their hero?!

Sarah J Maas only kills off characters that haven't been there so long, I think. Eg. Nehemia(1.5 books?), Sorscha(less than 1 book), Keelie(less than 1 book).
These are the only character deaths in the book?😮(the others were supposed to be enemies)
It could've been Chaol instead of Dorian! Chaol is useless anyway. But I'm glad Dorian didn't die. Probably he wouldn't cuz maybe SJM feels guilty of killing people and so settles for smaller characters.

My favorite character is Dorian. Aarja's is Manon I think and Johanna?

I'm so new to fantasy so I don't know a lot of things. Do you mind questions?
Are the faes in SJM's books only? I mean, are they something SJM created or are they there in a lot other fantasy books? If so, do all the faes in the different books have the same features?
And why do fae get to look like humans? They are different creatures right?
And the fairies who gave flowers to Calaena in the first book, are they the same as fae? What I mean is- is there a difference between those fairies and the fae that Calaena is?

I'm so excited for the other books! We'll have to wait a bit before knowing what would happen to Dorian and Aelin and Rowan and other people, but I think it is ok. I'm not too excited for tAB, its just Calaena's past but I would like to know more about Sam.

Anyway, the end was so amazing, the last 60 pages I think? It was not boring, but all the parts before it were😐

Manon is kinda a minor character, she just came in this book and I think is the same as Nehemia was. If Nehemia could die, maybe Manon will too🙁

And why aren't we talking about the main characters? Do you ship Rowan and Aelin? Who do you like better- Aelin or Calaena? They're the same, but one knows magic and is the queen

I'm confused about whether I like Aelin or Celaena. Aelin is definitely better(she is a queen and has magic!), but is so because of her lineage. I mean, anyone could've become like Aelin if they'd been born to the same parents. So I like Celaena. Aelin has not done much as of now, just fought for Terrasen. Celaena made Aelin better. Without Celaena, Aelin wouldn't have been good at both fire and blade. Aelin is just lucky to have magic and she needed Celaena to be good. Yeah, so Celaena it is

I don't ship Rowan and Aelin, everything is good just the way it is, nothing bad is happening so 🤷🏻‍♀️. And I don't like Rowan much

Yes I think Manon is my favorite because she has so much potential! At the beginning she was heartless, but then it started to seem she has feelings! And she started to wonder if they really had to be cruel or if they would be another way.

Faes are more like people, I have to say that I haven't seen 100 % similar creatures in other books. Or I don't rememeber if I have. I have read the first book so long time, so I don't remember those who gave flowers.

Well for me this was maybe even a bit boring before the last part :D

I really liked the first book, atmosphere. But I don't really remember the first book, so that means it wasn't something amazing. More 3 stars.

The second one has again amazing atmosphere. But I didn't like the romance and it was in big role. I loved Mort! But this was also maybe 3 stars.

This third one was the most thrilling! Not so much romance and the last part was gold! This was too boring first but the last part made this maybe 4 stars read.

I think the main characters were so boring in this book, that's maybe the reason I'm not talking about them :D I don't really like at this point Aelin/Celaena, but I'm more interested what Aelin is doing. (hide spoiler)]

I read this one in Finnish, but I don't read mostly in Finnish. I read also in Swedish and English, it depends what edition is availabe in the library :D
