Editor Seeking Authors

There seems to be an abundance of editors in this group offering their wares to authors.

To add my name into the mix, I am newly graduated from a Master's in Publishing. My major project researched representation in trade publishing and as such I have been kept in the loop with market trends. The Master's also provided me with the tools for formatting a manuscript into a book for both print and digital.

I have over 100 hours editing experience with Cambridge University Press. Unfortunately, I was laid off during the pandemic. Having applied to 53 jobs (yes, there's a spreadsheet), I've decided instead to build myself a small kingdom of freelance editing.

I offer a free sample edit of two pages of your manuscript. After that we will both be in a position to discuss the scope of the editing that needs done and come to an agreement on how the work will be contracted.

Payment plans can be negotiated to suit your budget. There are details of my average rates on my website. As I'm building my portfolio, I am willing to negotiate with you on these rates to suit us both best.
