So pleased to hear she is on the mend. Her book covers are usually quite appealing. Thank you Brenda for letting us know as we all wish her all the best.

Sad news for us here in the Hunter. We've woken to the news that we have positive cases here. A worker did a shift at Glendale Target on Saturday and is positive (really close to us) Morrisset High School and Lake Munmorrah Primary both have cases and are closed for cleaning. And in the last hour, 2 positive cases at Maitland Christian School now. We expected it to show its ugly head, but didn't want it to!!!

Sorry to hear there are some new cases - stay safe!
Thanks guys! Snap lockdown from 5pm tonight - stay at home, no visitors, no school, no sport etc. I hope it works...
Sorry to hear that Brenda. Hopefully it can be contained by the lockdown. We have a few new cases here in Victoria too.
I was sorry to hear the news, my daughter lives up your way and works on the central coast but is classed as an essential worker so has to go to work and she is 14 weeks pregnant, a worrying time for everyone.Stay safe

It's really frustrating that cases in the community are not going down yet.
We're in one of the LGAs that's been locked down for a few weeks now and even now when I go for a walk I see groups of parents in the park play areas standing around chatting without masks (compulsory outdoors in our suburb) while their kids all play together.
I hope people in the Hunter & Central Coast take this more seriously. Stay safe Brenda :)
Thanks Carolyn - it's still hard to believe how dense some people are!! And with yesterday's deaths of 5 people - so shocking.
Phones were going nuts when I dropped into work earlier. My husband was doing our normal basic shopping, and apparently the toilet paper had already vanished. Chaos was reigning in the supermarket and people were panic buying everywhere.
How many times will it take for people to realise that the supermarkets stay open during lockdown? And so far, ours is only for one week...sigh...

Are you serious? We have been in Lockdown for five weeks now - it may even be six, I have lost count - and at no time has our local Coles run out of anything, including toilet rolls.

Hard to figure what motivates people.

Yes it is our 6th week and our Woolies hasn't run out of anything that I have seen so far

Apparently there has been mayhem and chaos across town in all the supermarkets. And you really would think people would have more sense.

Good luck Sharon! The whole country will be in lockdown soon!!

But they don't seem to do they!

The toilet paper thing is so funny… if people are that worried about running out why haven’t they been stockpiling before this? Easy enough to put an extra packet away while the lockdowns were somewhere else.
Phrynne wrote: "Isn't it sad when a nation's ultimate fear is to run out of toilet paper."It's a bit of a comment on (at least some of) us. Sadly.
Very productive day working from home. I made three LibGuides for English texts. Had some time off during the day to watch a couple of Flosstube videos so worked overtime at the end of the day to make up for it. I'm just settling in for the night. Must say I am really looking forward to tomorrow as I have a ton of quilt pieces prepared for sewing. So lockdown is not all bad.LOL Goodreads recommendation
Because you enjoyed Nala's World: One Man, His Rescue Cat, and a Bike Ride around the Globe try Stephen King's It

Difficult times continue for so many..take care everyone. Sorry Brenda, that the Hunter/Newcastle area us now impacted and hopefully it will be only for one week. Re parks and playgrounds, last year, I am sure I remember these were closed and so there was less standing around by groups of adults..maybe they need to be closed again.

Yes, definitely not essential Trish!! And we hope so too, but somehow doubt it!

I'm looking forward to getting a fast start on all the new challenges!
Brenda wrote: "Is this a hint that we need to get a move on with this? ;)"Not at all - I’m just looking forward to reading my new books!
(Not much else to get excited about atm!)
I agree with Carolyn that not too much to excited about? Thank you Brenda, in advance, for posting the read-a-thon. Where will we find it..which thread? 🤗

Gorgeous!
My older cat is not into dress-ups at all, but I haven’t tried it with the youngster yet…
My co worker sent me a link to all the Horatio photos a couple of weeks ago. I love it! Primrose would never cooperate for costumes.
I have to admit I've never tried dressing up any of my cats. Horatio doesn't seem to mind and I do love the idea of matching his costumes to the book on display at the library :)
