Noonecansinkmyship (Tissa) | 22 comments My Air Force Fairy Tale has three ebooks: My Little Rock Airman (There's only the ASIN. ASIN B07Y4P47QV) , My Carolina Airman (ASIN B07ZDBV1VD), and My Las Vegas Airman (ISBN139798580726779). I listed them in order from first to third book. Thank you for your time!

Mantvydas | 1092 comments Can you confirm that these books are set in the same world and/or share characters?

Noonecansinkmyship (Tissa) | 22 comments Well yes. They're all part of the same series on Amazon. Does that count as proof?

Mantvydas | 1092 comments Amazon series requirements are different than Goodreads.

To be considered a series on Goodreads books need to have common characters (they don't have to be the main characters) and/or be set in the same world/town/universe. A common theme is not enough.

From the blurbs, it's unclear if stories are standalone and just share a common theme, or they are set in the same place and/or share characters.

Noonecansinkmyship (Tissa) | 22 comments Sorry for the delay. I had an appointment. I'll check on the author's website right now.

Noonecansinkmyship (Tissa) | 22 comments The author's website has all three books as one set. Here, I'll link it: my link text They're in the same universe since they're all contemporary romances and I read the reviews and they all are set in modern US.

That is not sufficient. Neither is being sold as a set.

Noonecansinkmyship (Tissa) | 22 comments Wow. So if an author publishes their books as a series, Goodreads thinks they have the right to tell them they’re wrong? Even though it’s their book. That’s hugely inconvenient for both authors and readers but it’s just how the rules are. I get that and I don’t blame you. So I’m going to go write a complaint now. Hopefully they’ll let authors decide if books can be a series. Thanks for your time!

Authors are welcome to determine whether they consider books a series -- for marketing, on their websites, etc.

Goodreads makes that decision for Goodreads.
