Carlotta (queenoftagliatelle) | 12 comments Well... years have passed and I still miss Sir Terry Pratchett and his lovely books terribly.

I started reading him as a child, kept reading him as a teen and an adult, I miss waiting for the new books to come out, the excitement of having them finally in my hands and knowing there was this amazing human that had this whole different universe in his mind.

I have 1 unread book of his on the shelf at home. I am keeping it for hard times, and it kind of kept me anchored here during cancer last year. I could not possibly die in the hospital with still one of his books unread could I? Hehe ... I still always have this one last book to look forward to. I am funny in this way.

Anyone else?

RC (rainchilde) | 3 comments I haven't had the foresight (or discipline) to save a book but in the past year I did discover one I hadn't read (as a result of reading them out of order over the span of decades) and it was such an unexpected joy. And to answer your question, IMHO, no I don't think you could :)

Glenn Fall | 1 comments I have an unread book from him as well :) and I think I will never read it. Because it would mean the end. All finished. The brilliant author is gone and we all miss him terribly. And so, the one book left as a mystery is, at least for me, a way to keep the total completion away. As you said, there is still something to look forward to. And I hope your cancer is gone and you won :)

Claire Martin (cmartin29) | 2 comments I just re-read Reaper Man and got ALL the feels. Made me miss STP all over again. I love his comforting interpretation of DEATH. Non-religious, yet compassionate to the beliefs humans design to understand loss.

Exactly. I haven't re-read the series for years - time to start another round, and I am sure I will enjoy the books all over again!

Bill (Just a) | 4 comments I am going through them. 41 books I think. I am reading by groups. I finished the "Rincewind" Books. Now reading the "Death" books. Here is a link to the order I am using.
