Britt, Book Habitue (britt--bookhabitue) | 767 comments Ended up loving Ten Thousand Doors of January.

Britt, Book Habitue (britt--bookhabitue) | 767 comments Honestly did not enjoy Unwinding of the Miracle. It feels incredibly callous to rate poorly or criticize someone's account of their living and dying but I was so bored. Which possibly makes me a horrible person.
Reading it over time in little installments (like the blog you can clearly tell it must be based on) would have been a lot better than reading it all at once in a book

Unless there's a second similar thing that happens (and I can't see how that's in any way possible) that spoiler is incorrect in multiple ways. I've spent 208 pages dreading it and that's totally not what happens.
Just in case people are specifically avoiding it for that.

Britt, Book Habitue (britt--bookhabitue) | 767 comments (Also, apparently "hide spoiler" doesn't actually work in the app, lol. It's hidden when I look on my computer, but it's totally not when I look in the app. That's a GoodReads oops for sure.)

Britt, Book Habitue (britt--bookhabitue) | 767 comments So ultimately Waiting for Tom Hanks was a lot better than I expected, even if the main character is pretty obnoxious for the first while. Also cleaner than expected, though there is some profanity and crude/sexual language.

Brianon Sheffield | 27 comments I really liked Waiting For Tom Hanks! it was laugh out loud funny in a few places, and I appreciated the lack of descriptive sex scenes. I maybe still wouldn't recommend it to my mother in law though... and I totally agree about Annie being annoying at first. I'm looking forward to picking up Flat Share soon.

Make sure you get your votes in. Friday is the last day!

Britt, Book Habitue (britt--bookhabitue) | 767 comments Finished Woman in the White Kimono. Beautiful but kind of haunting. And I confess I was far more interested in the 1950s storyline than the present day...they didn't feel balanced.
So that's 20/20 read. Making this, I'm pretty sure, the only time I've managed to do that in the set time. (I did it last year, but there was a lot of extra time last year lol)

Britt, that's amazing. I never get them all read. For everyone that does I am always in awe.

And Elizabeth is right--today is the last day to vote! If you can't make it into a branch, you can always vote online: https://www.slcolibrary.org/informati...

Britt, Book Habitue (britt--bookhabitue) | 767 comments I think I only gave 5 stars to 3 of them lol, so that's my top three!
Rory Thorne
Singapore Sapphire
The Thousand Doors

Patty (scrapatty) | 160 comments The Twisted Ones was not my genre at all, but I loved it. Loved how she talked about the relationships between the different people. Most of all I loved the humor!
