I read this book around 2019-2020.

Set in a fantasy universe. Very heavy on magic. Main characters are in their 20s (?). Heroine can see the past when she touches someone/something. Hero has lightning abilities, which he is slowly losing for some reason. They figured out that biologically, the heroine can amplify his powers if she sleeps with him.

The story is set in a creepy, evil academy of some sort. The heroine felt physically sick as soon as she entered the building.

Other details include:
- The hero broke up with his gf when he figured out that he has to sleep with heroine.
- The heroine has a cat skull and other knickknacks that she touches when she's upset.
- The heroine finds a dead girl's body at some point in the book.
- The hero's (evil) mentor blackmailed the heroine to force her to agree to help the hero.
- Heroine was a virgin at the beginning of the book.
- In the end, they figured out that one of the instructors was responsible as to why the hero was losing his abilities.
- There was a second book about the hero's ex-gf.
