K, can you tell us more about the couple (e.g., rich and titled, how they met, family, skills and interests/hobbies)?
Around what year did you read this book (2010/2011 to ___)?

Also, I think the daughter had lived abroad with her father in India, or that could be a different book. In that one, the heroine used some experimental health treatment to fix the hero’s injuries against his will. He was furious, but ended up forgiving her.
New information from K:
"Notable book information:
This is part of a historical romance series set in Britain (think Georgian/Regency). The hero is a gentleman, as I mentioned, and previously suffered a devastating hip/back/leg injury, I think from a carriage accident, or from falling off a horse. He is mostly bedridden, I believe. He doesn't socialize much in society, and has a male sibling/cousin who was written about in another novel in the series.
I think remember a scene where guests at his home set off a fireworks display or something outside, and he watched it with the heroine from his room?
The heroine was a daughter of a doctor, or some titled gentleman working in the East (likely India). She enjoys studying medicine, and worked with someone there (a monk, a doctor, whatever). She came to Britain, and meets this lord. She offers some sort of untested Eastern medicine for his injury, and he refuses. She gives it to him without telling him, and it helps him enormously, but he becomes furious at her betraying his trust.
Obviously they live happily ever after."
