Carol | 3 comments I’m halfway through listening to Dominicana by Abbie Cruz and now get an error message that reads ‘error reading audio file, please try again. If this problem persists contact customer support’. This has been over several days, and when I email customer support via the app, I get a bounce back reject email hours later. I tried direct message on Twitter yesterday, was given another email address that’s I’ve contacted, but not had a reply yet. Any idea how to just hear the rest of the book?

You might try streaming from the page in your Audible library, I have listened that way before.

Carol | 3 comments Thanks everyone, as soon as I posted on here I also hot an email from support. I had to remove the download, change quality settings to high, download again and not try and play until fully downloaded. After doing this twice it seems to be working. Hurrah!

John | 3944 comments I've always been leery of opening a book until after it's fully downloaded; they say it's okay, but I've had issues in the past.

Specs Bunny (specsbunny) | 495 comments Maybe I'm lucky but I never, ever had any problems! It is one of the things I really like about the Audible app.

However, I always wait a bit longer after the "ready to play" message, before actually pressing play.

Carol | 3 comments Ive never had any issues other than this one, but I do think I’m often a bit too keen and start listening as it’s still downloading so I’ll try and remember to not do that again. Thanks everyone for your help, happy listening 😊
