They looked at him with eyes that lacked interest in what they saw..
Within these chapters Piggy is quickly becoming the outcast of the group. He seems to get on everyone's nerves and goes against group decisions. The others see him as an annoyance, especially Ralph and jack. Although he is not liked by the group, they never give him a say in matters or listen to his opinion which may lead to serious tensions later in the book.
