2018-2019ish I read a book about a women who’s husband died in a car crash and it was on a weird route where he shouldn’t have been. She becomes obsessed with figuring out why he was in the area and starts to uncover clues. She and her young daughter move to that town but don’t reveal their identity and she starts spying on everyone by giving them unique clocks with hidden spy cameras inside. She thought he had a mistress or a double life. She becomes obsessed and watches the cameras in her home. Turns out he was there all time because he purchased land and was restoring an old barn for her to use a writing loft/place of her own and was going to surprise her with it. The lady helping him developed feelings for him and toward the end of the book the wife discovers all this. She spied on this lady by taking her daughter to her farm for riding lessons because they had horses and ponies.
